It’s really weird what can bring up imposter syndrome!

I’ve always been hideous at drawings finding out the first year of my painting degree would be spent largely drawing wasn’t the best news I’d had all year.

Next I have to learn to hold my pencil differently - stay tuned if you want to see me actually crawl out of my own skin!!

Final@day of the breadcrumb trail and we’ve reached the boy flying his kite on the shore

I don’t even know what I was trying to do with the watercolours - I just kept going, unsure if I was making a difference to the initial mess, or just trying to polish a 💩

We have wonky horizons, I can’t paint feet or hands (so I didn’t), the paper was weird and the kite lines took 4 tries. The face was beyond me so it’s been painted over and there just seems to be way too much paint - possibly not being used as watercolors should.

Shame I couldn’t get more space in between the boy and the kite but the size of the paper is what it is 🤷‍♀️ and I have a lot to learn!

Went to bed late and disheartened

Then I got up this morning and quite liked it anyway 😊
