Last week I felt like I had this whole small-business/content-creation / teacher-mom thing figured out. This week? Not so much. 😂

One thing I’ve learned about running a small business is that creating content takes SO much more intentionality than people realize.

It’s not just making a Reel. It’s remembering to pull out your phone while you’re actually doing the work, capturing the little moments, and finding time to tell the story behind what you’re building.

Today felt scattered. I had a million things on my mind, and instead of getting everything done, I headed to our warehouse to grab some B-roll for the week.

Half the time I was taking pictures it reminded me of being 13 years old and thinking my photo shoots were so artistic lol but honestly having the content on my phone means I at least have something to hopefully edit or work with… Even if some of the shots feel very emo

And honestly, I think that’s what running a business (and life in general) looks like most days.

Some weeks you’re thriving. Some days you’re just showing up and doing the next thing. Both count. 💛

Fellow small-business owners, does anyone else struggle with remembering to document the work while you’re busy actually DOING the work? 😂

A little garden time, a little skincare, and a whole lot of real life.

Today was full of the little things that make me happy — picking fresh zinnias from our garden (I’ll never get tired of them!), sneaking in a little self-care with our Jojoba + Marula Face Oil, spending time outside (with plenty of bug spray because these NC gnats are relentless 😅), and winding down with our NEW Rose Face Cream while editing videos.

One thing I love about creating natural skincare is getting to use the products we make in my own everyday routines. Nothing fancy, just simple ingredients and little moments of self-care woven into a busy day.
