I finally got my ducks in a row ( got a longer skinnier board & my first super light paddle ) soooo I’m on a 14 day countdown to ‘casually competing’ in the WORLD FAMOUS @lowcountry_boil_paddle_battle ✅ on SEPT 12th ✅ I’m doing the short course aka the Peter Vairo Aloha 5k named after my dear friend Peter that used to take my Yoga classes before he passed away😇 It’s also ON my birthday & @blueskypilateshhi is a sponsor so I feel so CHARGED…. I haven’t been able to push myself iathletically in a few years due to a major injury & surgery so I’m pretty sure I’ll just burst into tears at the finish line even if I’m in last place 💁🏼‍♀️💪🏼 If any of my casual paddling homies want to jump into practice mode for 2 weeks & sign up ⬆️ that would be a awesome! If not this year keep it mind for next year! LASTLY if you don’t already know… this event raises money for the @theoutsidefoundation so every kid in Beaufort county can enjoy a life changing field trip out on the water to explore the magnificence of the nature in the lowcountry. It’s such a good cause… I vividly remember learning about the tides, spartina grass and all the creatures at Hilton Head Elementary back in 1992 and I’m still mesmerized by it all! #yogikait by @theyogikait

Our big beautiful sign is finally up on the side of @blueskypilateshhi 🌻🌻

Blue Sky Pilates MOVEMENT PLAYGROUND 🛝@blueskypilateshhi is OFFICIALLY a proud sponsor of the @lowcountry_boil_paddle_battle 😎which raises money for @theoutsidefoundation so that every single child in the Beaufort County Public school system gets a field trip on the water in a kayak or a paddleboard! Now I just need to start training… good thing I do my best work under pressure 😇 This picture means a lot to me because I got my lucky number 108 by coincidence! AND THIS YEAR THE RACE IS ON MY BIRTHDAY 🙌 AND I thought my paddling days were over 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 #yogikait by @theyogikait

This sequence just came to me one day…. As a YOGI… I like to go fully vertical in some of my Pilates moves like Yoga’s ‘shoulder stand’ & then when you do the single strap variation - on the rolling down part of short spine - you can add a secret side bend & you can get some of THEE BEST LUMBAR LOVE I’ve ever felt… timed with a slow exhale this is move melts the QL & tractions right through the SI joint on the long side. It’s not for everybody, but I wanted to share so that my super body nerd friends like @ninjasilja would see it & come for a visit sometime 👯‍♂️ #yogikait by @theyogikait
