AD | There’s something about waking up above the lakes that just hits differently. Me and Mark headed up Gummers How in the Lake District for a wild camp, and it couldn’t have been a better reminder of why we do this.We teamed up with GO Outdoors and put a full range of OEX gear to the test, including the brand-new Jackal III v3. From pitching up as the light dropped to waking up with views straight across the lakes, it gave us a solid, reliable base for the whole shoot and handled everything effortlessly.The Vallo 70 rucksack carried everything comfortably on the hike up, the Jackal III held strong through the night, and the Fathom EV 300 sleeping bag kept things warm and comfortable. Sitting back in the lightweight chair watching the sunset was one of those simple moments that makes it all worth it. Even though the rain stayed away, the waterproof jacket felt like the kind of kit you’re glad to have when conditions change.Clear skies, unreal views, good company, and gear you can trust.
