It’s been a long long time getting this one cleared but finally I am delighted to announce the release of the Mixed to the Maxxx Album, from @john_morales_mix and myself.

This collection of 20 fresh remixes of the likes of Crown Heights Affair, Robert Palmer, Harold Melvin, Dennis Coffey, Syreeta, and Alicia Myers is due out on September 25th. Two double vinyls and one double CD. I’m so pleased that we actually got this one over the line as it really hasn’t been quick or easy. Link to preview or buy in bio by @thezrecords

NEW SUNBURST BAND SINGLE. Something unexpected and magical happened the day I programmed the kick drum for this new Sunburst Band song, which funnily enough is out today. So ZR have pushed the boat out and carefully curated a short bespoke film which ties in with the release. Unexpectedly this mini documentary has been nominated for various awards, which is of course lovely and surprising. However, for me the main thing here is not the awards or the accolades, it’s just about smelling really good and people asking me which aftershave i have on. New release out today on ZR is my remix of Mike T “Do It Any Way You Wanna” - a jazzy old school rap cut from 81. Mike T is Mike Thomas and I suspect the sax player Joe Thomas was a relative of some description. More info in this video by @thezrecords

It’s been almost 40 years since the first instalment of the Garage Sound albums. Here we have a new 4 track EP that continues the series. If you’ve heard me DJ in the last nine months, then i probably played a couple of these songs.

A few years ago I got the opportunity to license a favourite song of mine from the late 90s - “Flower” by Soul Dhamma. The original will always be close to my heart and is a hard one to beat but my new Boogiefied mix gives it a funky squelchy 80s flavour. Add in @kingbritt much lauded Underwater mix and you’ve got what people in the industry often refer to as a “great package”. This great package is out today. In case someone in interested in vinyl my mix was on an Attack the Dancefloor EP last year. The originals were on the Velocity label back at the time it was first released by @thezrecords
