Less than a year after partial lung removal, I did this. DEKA Mile @the_energy_lab. I had a last minute partner change because my clumsy Cassie fell walking Stevie to school & hurt her shoulder. She’s fine now💕. I am so thankful for @jillruthrooks who stepped in at the last minute! She took on all the running and more. I did much better than I expected considering I’m still working on building that endurance back up. I will be forever grateful to @the_energy_lab for 11 years of helping me stay healthy so that at the age of 71 I can do things like this! Thank you Cindi Lerch @syndeelurch for being our judge but more importantly encouraging me & cheering me on all the way. And of course thank you Cassie for your love & encouragement even if you can’t walk well 😂 I love you Boo Boo. #fuckcancer #cancerfree #ageisbutanumber #neverstopmoving #justdoit by @thgerm_thcoach

And that’s a wrap! Five months after lung cancer surgery, partial lung removal, I did this! And a slightly better pace & time than last year! Since 2019 my goal has always been to stay in the top 10 of my age group and I did it again this year finishing 8th in my age group (70-74). Cancer free and an athlete! Such a fun evening with @dovely34 and @laladeezy34. Took the Arrow Train to another IE 66ers game. It was Redlands night so they were the Redlands Pickers with special jerseys which I forgot to get a picture. We all got Redlands Pickers hats too. It’s great to see so many people using the train!! Now we just need to get more to do it!!! @66ersbaseball @metrolink by @thgerm_thcoach

Fun day today! We took the Arrow Train to see the Angels minor league team, The Inland Empire 66ers play. They had a little league clinic before the game so Stevie got to throw balls out on the field. @66ersbaseball @dovely34 @laladeezy34 by @thgerm_thcoach

I so love getting to celebrate my birthday every year with these rock star ladies!! Pauline turned 76, Debbie 71 and I’m the baby at 70 this year. Well we did another one! Cassie @dovely34 and I completed the DEKA Mile today for our 2nd time. I am so blessed to have Cassie as my partner! She’s encouraging and it’s so much fun saying ‘I did it with my daughter!’ That she’ll do this with her almost 70 year old Mom is just awesome! I love you Boo Boo! I stopped running about a year ago due to some knee issues but mostly following a med change after my hospitalization last June. About 4 weeks ago I was convinced to try by @jillruthrooks & @dovely34 so I started a basic training program, not the time I needed but enough to give it a go today. More walking than I prefer, but it felt good. My goal was to finish and hopefully stay in the top 10 in my age group as I have done the last 6 years. I did both! I’m also super proud of Cassie @dovely34 for running the 10K and doing fabulous!! Stevie rocked the Kinderdash too! Thanks @laladeezy34 for being the holder of stuff & cheering!!! @arunthruredlandsoffical by @thgerm_thcoach
