My month of September in foods I remembered to take photos of. Since having babies, my remembering to or actual ability to make content in the moment is 0️⃣ so please enjoy random snapshots I managed to capture not with content in mind but because I loved the moment I was living in. Regardless of posting, we’ve been enjoying so many fun things as a family and so many great meals out. If you're looking for a low-key cape day experience that doesn't require packing up for a beach day (let's be honest, not every day can be a beach day in New England), here's what I recommend: 1. Grab some ebikes or regular bikes and enjoy a ride! The cape is pretty flat which allows for a feasible ride for many. The Cape Cod rail trail is another great spot for a wicked flat ride. 2. Take that bike and find a spot for lunch! Depending where you stay, there are so many fun family friendly restaurants to enjoy. We biked to @skipperchowderhouse which has a beautiful rooftop dining area right across from a local South Yarmouth beach. We snagged a house burger & fish taco to enjoy! 3. Find a beach or park to enjoy! No need to grab the swimsuit. Across from The Skipper, you'll find a few swings and plenty of space to run around and play with a great view of the ocean. The space is slightly separated from the beach below and often hosts live music in the summer. 4. Snag ice cream (or acai 😉). The Skipper has ice cream on site but my husband and I are suckers for Acai so we biked a little further to @acaimaniausa for our fix. It may seem simple but that's what makes it so peaceful and enjoyable. Rather than fighting a beach crowd and grabbing 75lbs of beach supplies, take it easy & take it light one of these days. Their baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are just delicious! I love all inclusive experiences, but when you take alcohol out of the equation, is the price actually worth it? I was delighted to find out there were two cafes on property where I spent plenty of my time trying any coffee + pastry combo that I could When people were hitting the bar, I was already three coffees deep 🤭☕️ What are your thoughts? For those who know me, it was never my intention to step away from my corporate job. I hoped to carry on with a reduced scheduled while I adjusted to motherhood and figured out some type of childcare routine. I was shocked to come back and not be offered this flexibility (although it was reassured when I started maternity leave). Regardless, I had to make a very hard choice… security and a fractional health insurance or trusting my abilities and the doors God kept opening. Here we are today, with a flexible schedule where I can watch my son grow in real time and also work hard during obscene hours of the night. It is such a gift that I am humbled by. 🙏 Here’s to many more years of capturing amazing businesses and helping them shine in their best light! taken in Massachusetts by @thibodeaustyle
