Still waiting for the name of this piece to come to me - but I wanted to share the finished version since so many of you enjoyed the early stages of it. I did decide to go in further and add some subtle brush textures, and it's definitely a departure from my usual application but I really enjoyed this process. My reference photo was from Jupiter beach a few weeks ago and it really was a gorgeous morning. I think I captured a little slice of that beauty.

One more brief history class then I'll get back to posting timelapse videos for you I promise! This is a little view into my early years training as artist apprentice, look at that focus, paint by number Bambi was serious business clearly. My pop was always ready to encourage anyone who expressed interest in making art of any kind. I saw example after example of that, from little kids to adults older than him he would talk with, give pointers, share trade secrets, teach, buy their art, build them a website, gift them an instrument, you name it. I am extremely lucky to have grown up in a family that uplifted creative spirit like that and made even the silly little things feel valuable for what they could teach or unlock.

Your homework for the weekend is to do a craft, maybe one you really enjoyed as a kid, even if its just doodling or making one of those dope beaded lizard keychains. Any attempt receives an A+ and if you show me your work I will mail you a pack of my stickers.

Really truly though this was a exercise in using my free will and I’m so proud. Also @coreylovescolor made Sarah a paintbrush out of HER OWN HAIR FROM HER HEAD AND PAINTED HER A PAINTING WITH IT. This is love in its fullest form. LOL. taken in West Palm Beach, Florida by @thickpaint
