Thank you, Lionel Messi, for all the beautiful World Cup memories and for inspiring an entire generation. Your passion, humility, vision, and brilliance on the pitch have made football even more beautiful.

You didn't just win trophies—you won hearts around the world and showed us what dedication, perseverance, and greatness truly look like.

The greatest space manager the world has ever seen. The way you create and control space on the pitch is simply unmatched. For me, you will always be one of the greatest inspirations football has ever known.

I hope this isn't your last World Cup. But if it is, I feel truly blessed to have witnessed a legend give everything until the very last second.

Seeing your tears was both painful and beautiful. They reflected your passion, your hunger, and your deep love for the game. That moment showed the world that even after achieving everything, your desire to compete and represent your country never faded.

The greatest football player of all time. 🐐🇦🇷⚽️🙌🏾

I pray that God continues to bless you, strengthen you, protect you, and guide you in your career, your family, and every season of your life.

Thank you, Leo. Your legacy will live forever.

THANK YOU, MESSI. ❤️🙌🏾

Today, I can testify that Jesus Christ is faithful.

He is a healer.

He is a restorer.

He is a promise keeper.

The dream God placed in my heart when I was a child is still alive.

I still believe.

I still dream of playing at the highest level and becoming the best player in the world.

But today, I have gained something even greater than a football dream.

I have come to know the One who gave me the dream.

Jesus Christ changed my life.

Jesus Christ healed me.

Jesus Christ saved me.

Jesus Christ restored me.

If God could restore me after years of pain, disappointment, and impossibility, He can restore you too.

No matter what you are going through, Jesus loves you and wants to help you. You are never too sinful, too broken, too old, or too young to come to Him.

There has never been a better time to surrender your life to Jesus Christ.

The Bible says:

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." — Romans 10:13

A Call to Salvation

If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, or if you have walked away from Him and want to return, I invite you to pray this prayer sincerely from your heart:

"Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again on the third day. Today, I repent of my sins and surrender my life to You. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me follow You all the days of my life. Thank You for saving me, forgiving me, and making me a child of God. In Jesus' name, Amen."

If you prayed this prayer and truly meant it from your heart, please send me a message. I would be honored to pray with you, encourage you, and help you grow in your walk with Jesus Christ.

Thank You, Jesus, for Your healing, mercy, faithfulness, grace, and unfailing love.

All glory, honor, and praise belong to You forever.

Amen. by @thierrybato

I was advised to move to Germany.

I emailed countless professional clubs but received almost no responses. One club in the 9th division invited me for a trial, but I was rejected.

Later, I trained with a 6th division team that helped me develop and wanted to support me, but I did not have the necessary documents to be registered in Germany, so I returned to Finland.

While in Germany, I began seeking God more seriously than ever before. I asked Him for direction and guidance concerning my future.

God started revealing His plans to me.

One night, He instructed me in a dream to go to Portugal.

I did not fully understand it because I had planned to move to Romania instead. As I resisted God's direction, I fell into a deep depression even though I continued training every day.

Yet the conviction to go to Portugal never left me.

The moment I decided to obey and go to Portugal, God gave me a peace unlike anything I had ever experienced.

It was a peace that could not be explained.

It was a peace that changed my life.

That peace made me want to know God deeply.

So I moved to Portugal.

There, I fully surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and received His free gift of salvation. The Holy Spirit began guiding me, teaching me, correcting me, and transforming me from the inside out.

At the age of 32, I devoted myself to prayer, studying God's Word, and building a genuine relationship with Him.

As I sought Him, He revealed more of His purpose for my life. He renewed my mind, refined my character, healed wounds in my heart, and taught me His ways.

I continued training every day. Sometimes there was still pain, but I never stopped trusting God.

Day after day.

Month after month.

Year after year.

God continued His work in me.

Then in June 2026, at the age of 34, God completely healed my knee.

After years of pain, surgeries, disappointment, depression, and setbacks, I can now run, train, and play football without pain.

Then in 2020, at the age of 28, I finally had a proper MRI scan and underwent surgery. I was excited because I believed this would finally be my opportunity to return to football and at least be able to run again.

But even after two years of recovery, I still couldn't jog, run, or play football properly. When I tried playing again, the pain became even worse.

By 2022, I was 30 years old.

Nine years had passed without football.

Nine years of pain.

Nine years of waiting.

I was advised to undergo another surgery, but I wasn't ready to go through the physical pain, emotional disappointment, and uncertainty all over again.

During those years, I continued working odd jobs and distracting myself with parties, relationships, and anything that could help me forget the frustration I felt inside.

But God had not forgotten me.

God began drawing me back to Himself.

I started listening to Kingdom teachings by Dr. Myles Munroe on YouTube. His messages inspired me to buy a Bible and seek God seriously.

I began praying more often and reading Scripture.

One day, while praying and reading the Bible, I felt led by the Holy Spirit to go to a small football field and try to run.

I prayed and attempted to run, but the pain was unbearable. I left discouraged.

The next day, I returned to the same field.

I prayed again and tried once more.

This time I managed to run awkwardly and with pain, but I ran.

Something changed inside me that day.

I thanked God, and deep in my spirit, I knew He had begun healing me.

From that day forward, I returned to that field every single day. I jogged, ran, and trained despite the pain. Little by little, I saw improvement.

Soon I brought a football with me and started kicking it around while limping. I joined a gym and trained every day. Eventually, I started playing with children on that small field. Later, I began playing with adults.

The pain was still there, but I was grateful because I could finally play football again.

In 2023, at the age of 31, I felt it was time to fully pursue the dream once more. I quit my job and committed myself completely to football. by @thierrybato

JESUS IS A HEALER AND A RESTORER OF DESTINY

Today, I want to testify of the goodness, faithfulness, mercy, love, and power of Jehovah God.

When I was about 3 years old, God placed a dream in my heart. I saw myself playing in the UEFA Champions League. At that age, I didn't really know God, but somehow I believed that dream was possible.

Growing up, I played football in local teams, school competitions, and wherever I had the opportunity. Football was my passion, and the dream never left me.

When it was time to go to university, I wanted to pursue football seriously. However, pressure from family and fear of people's opinions led me to study Business instead, even though I had little interest in the degree. I studied passively while continuing to play football for my university team and in university competitions.

My plan was simple: earn my degree and then fully pursue my football dream.

In 2014, at the age of 22, everything changed.

During a university tournament, I suffered a serious knee injury that tore my ACL and meniscus. Despite the injury, I played in the final while limping on one leg and, by God's grace, scored the winning goal. After the tournament, doctors advised me to stop playing football until I recovered.

I listened, but recovery never came.

In December 2015, I was invited to play in a local tournament. I was performing well when I injured the same knee again. This time, I could not walk properly for almost three weeks.

I visited hospital after hospital searching for answers, but there was little to no improvement. Between 2016 and 2018, I also sought help from different herbalists, hoping for healing, but nothing changed.

I couldn't run.

I couldn't jog.

I couldn't play football.

The dream that had lived in my heart since childhood seemed impossible.

As the years passed, I became depressed, anxious, and discouraged. To distract myself from the pain and disappointment, I got involved in many things that only left me feeling emptier.

In 2019, God led me to Finland. I worked different odd jobs just to survive. Through all those years, I still walked with a limp. I couldn't run or even stand properly for long periods of time. The small football field where Jesus started the Restoration by @thierrybato

My brothers and sisters, we were never meant to do life alone. Jesus Christ sent us a Helper—the Holy Spirit—to guide us, strengthen us, and lead us in every season.
Whatever God has placed in your heart to become or to do, I bring you good news: with God, you can. In every circumstance, seek Him with all your heart. Pray fervently, meditate on His Word, and draw near to Him. As you do, He will reveal Himself to you.
God's plans for your life are far greater than anything you could ever think or imagine. Trust Him, remain faithful, and keep your eyes fixed on Him.
Hold on to this promise:
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31
Be encouraged. God is with you, and through Him, all things are possible. 🙏❤️ by @thierrybato

Purpose doesn’t come with an environment—you have to create one.
Look around you; there is always help, if you’re willing to see it.
God has placed you where you are for a reason.
Decide to make it meaningful.

Happy birthday to my coach, manager, brother, and my friend — the best midfielder in the world. Enjoy your day, bro. Keep smiling, keep running, chasing down those ankles and scoring screamers.

And when you grow old like me, I pray God renews your strength and makes you soar on wings like an eagle.

You will run and never grow weary.
You will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Happy birthday, Theo ❤️
