“Leaving the Nest” - Look 1

Coat dress featuring an exaggerated silhouette with a sculptural, convertible hood with hidden snaps and godets for functionality.

“Leaving the Nest” is inspired by my childhood connection to nature and the birds I grew up with. As a child, they came to symbolize freedom, independence, and exploration. One day, they flew away and did not return. It became a metaphor for leaving home to embrace change and new obstacles.

My collection reflects the transition from childhood to adulthood, where home shifts from a place of comfort and familiarity to a memory, as we move toward the unknown in search of new experiences and identity.

This look is inspired by the sculptural forms of bird cages and is intended to make the wearer feel safe through the use of the convertible hood.
