Amader Gaaner Class — আমাদের গানের ক্লাস Maybe you grew up around Bangla music. Maybe you know a few melodies but not all the words. Maybe you understand Bangla but don’t really speak it. Or maybe you’re simply curious about the culture and want a way back in. Amader Gaaner Class is for you. This is a relaxed, welcoming space to explore Bengali culture through music — no prior knowledge, perfect Bangla, or singing experience required. Come hang, meet people, learn the meaning behind the music, and actually sing together. For our first session, we’re learning “Ekla Cholo Re” by Rabindranath Tagore — a song about having the courage to walk your own path, even when no one else walks with you. We’ll unpack the Bangla, the meaning, and the feeling behind the song, then learn to sing it together. Think less music class, more cultural hangout with a soundtrack. Come curious. Come rusty. Come knowing nothing at all. Free. No commitment. No judgment. Just good people, good music, and a different way to connect with Bangla culture. LINK IN BIO by @thikananyc
