In a survival situation a fire can improve moral and give you the will to keep going. Just hope we dont run out of matches.

Makes me feel mighty insignificant thinking about what all went into making this world during those 7 days. Being blessed to be a witness of such power and magnificence is something we often take for granted.

Talk about a pain. This little 5qt dutch oven was the bane of my existance after my drill ran out of battery. Needless to say scrubbing with steel wool after a vinegar/water bath got me a little tuckered out. But it’s done. Forgot to take a pic when it was a solid rust clump but heres a before and after seasoning. Still have another 2 cycles to go though. Pray for me.

Figured I would try my hand at sour-dough starters. Getting rid of half of what I started just didn’t sit right with me so you cant go wrong with some discard crackers. Tastes like cheezits.

It’s a damn shame that people just cant leave well enough alone. This early 1900s cast iron coal burning stove was given to me by my brother who received it from my stepmom who had passed away a few years now. Came to pick it up from my brother’s shop and it looks like somebody just felt like breaking something. 2 out of the 4 legs are missing, and a huge crack at the crown. This nonsense infuriated me and broke my heart. This world really really really needs alot less shitheads. Do better.
