A quick hello and a happy Thursday !
Life is slowly getting back into its usual rhythm… I changed the fabric on the headboard and chose this rather sumptuous velvet to bring a little seasonal feeling into the bedroom.

The last slice of apple pie, the last swim in the sea… those little signs that summer is slowly making way for autumn. 🍎🌊🍂 And Bobby seems relieved too, and has gone straight into cuddle mode. ☺️🐾

Enjoy whatever you’re up to xx

There’s something about rainy autumn mornings and slowly starting the day…☔️🍂

I feel autumn in the air and that gives me joy and excitement… As much as I’ve made my peace with summer and its pleasures, the turning of the season somehow lifts my mood and makes me feel like I’m back home, in my own place in a way…

Nothing quite compares to the heavenly smell of an apple pie baking and that first delicious bite on a rainy autumn afternoon. 🍎🥧🍂
Anyone who agrees gets a slice sent over virtually 😂🍰🍎

I’m back… or at least I keep saying I am! Summer completely swept me away and, somehow, I’m still all over the place, lazily looking at a house whose owners have been away for quite some time… and it shows. 😅

Our trip to Egypt was nothing short of epic. I never imagined such a completely different world could be just a two-hour flight away. I close my eyes and still see the surreal beauty that unfolded before us …

If anyone fancies a little more of Egypt’s magic, pop over to my Highlights… ✨

So, slowly but surely, I’m pushing myself to get into the autumn mood, digging out my pumpkins and all that sort of stuff… 🎃
Most of you seem to be way ahead of me, which is slightly stressing me out 😂 but hey, I’ll get there… I’ve got this!

Till next, love you xx

Summing up a sweet summer…

Scattered pictures from around and about recently… Absent from the internet for a while, but real life took over almost completely, and I fully enjoyed it, tbh.

Busy and exciting days so far: our daughter’s brilliant graduation from Law, that enchanting escape to the island, guests, lazy days open to little summery adventures, and a fair bit of back and forth between our homes…

So, here’s a little glimpse of what might just sum up a summer well spent. ☀️

Hope you all found your little summer vibe too 😉😎

I’ve always believed that colour isn’t just something we see. It’s something we feel. Our homes are the places that remind us who we are and how far we’ve come. Colour is the heartbeat of that reminder.
So I’m always so happy to share my colourful little corner of the world with you !

… but life feels just a little brighter when there’s colour around.
After all, a home should reflect the people who live in it. Would you agree?

Home again with my boy 🐾 whom I missed more than words can say…

Back from the Cyclades, where dreams seem to linger for centuries, where the landscape writes its own poetry, and the wind carries the sea’s quiet enchantment from one shore to the next.
Feeling wonderfully full, in all the ways that matter. I hope this summer is filling you with something just as meaningful.

A little glimpse of the Aegean island I visited is waiting for you in my Kythnos highlights.

Much love 🤍

In the middle of all the DIY chaos, I somehow remembered to take a couple of snaps.
The kitchen hasn’t changed much, apart from its new striped curtains💛

My latest urge was to give our summer bedroom a little makeover.
We painted the walls a soft ochre and, despite them being unskimmed, I’m quite pleased with the outcome.
Both the table legs and the chair were painted with Annie Sloan Cream Chalk Paint which gave them a whole new look.
Don’t ask how many hours it took to hand-stitch the gingham cushion… just let me know if you like it. 😅

Apricot jam tart with our own fruit. 🍑

Can’t get enough of cherries 😅

Hollyhocks and agapanthus still going strong!

Currently at the summer house, but DIY has taken over instead of styling corners for photos. 😅

So, a few recent moments from home instead… the fireplace room, my boy 🐾 snoozing the afternoon away 😂, the rooftop - our daily dose of relief from the heat- and of course, the sea we’re lucky enough to have right on the doorstep.
Hope you’re all enjoying beautiful summer moments!
