Some of the many faces here in the Galápagos Islands!

Home to over 1,500 endemic species, these islands act as a sanctuary for some truly unique specimens. Although it seems as if I checked off the main attractions, my time spent here was barely a scratch to the surface of experiences to be had.

Some say once in a lifetime is enough and maybe that is all I’ll get, but I will yearn daily to be walking along the white sand beaches these creatures call home.

Quick trip to the Chilkat Glacier with @temscohelicopters last week!

I was lucky enough to jump on board one of their discovery flights and they just happened to be at a spot they hadn’t been in years! I’m always looking to check off more glaciers and this was a big one! Forever grateful for these experiences.

Nothing quite beats these northern summer days!

Many different moods present themselves while driving on the White Pass between Skagway, Alaska and Whitehorse, Yukon.

I was lucky enough to have a nice clear day to put my @sonyalpha kit to work and work it did!

Who knew there were owls in Juneau?

This elusive Barred Owl sat and hid high atop a paper birch, but was no match for my 200-600mm @sonyalpha paired with the 2x teleconverter!

These kind of encounters refresh me and remind me why I love taking photos.

During a spontaneous stop to the cherry blossom bloom at University of Washington, a very unique discovery was stumbled upon in one of the courtyard trees..

Late March brings a number of migratory hummingbirds to the Washington coastal areas for nesting and this specific hummingbird chose a very elegant place to call home!

Although I can’t take credit for the discovery, I knew the only way to capture this encounter was with the 200-600mm #sonyalpha lens, paired with a 2x teleconverter.
