Living room reset✨️

This room feels bare, and I miss the twinkling christmas lights. But it's clean, fresh, and craving spring.

We really wanted built-in wardrobes in our bedroom, but couldn't afford them.
So we had a go at mading them instead.

It all started on the ikea website where you can design your own pax system.
Once you are happy, it adds everything you will need to your basket.
We took a trip to b&q to get the wood for the base and to have our mdf cut to size.
Whilst we where there, we picked up primer for the doors, and I had valspa multipurpose paint mixed in the shade Egyptian Cotton.
I used this on the mdf and doors.

Would you give this a go?

See how changing one thing can alter a space.

This gorgeous @smartwingshome shade did just that. Replacing my old, broken Roman blind with a remote-control blind was the best decision.
The motor is so quiet!
It was really easy to measure and order. They have a large choice of different fabrics and linings.
I ordered a sample fabric pack so I could pick the perfect colour before ordering, and I chose a blackout lining. This will also help to keep the space warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
This really is an upgrade I want to repeat all through the house.

$You won't believe this started as a basic, flat-pack Ikea malm chest of drawers. Instead of spending hundreds on a high-end designer piece, I gave this budget staple a luxury glow-up for a fraction of the price! Here is exactly how I did it: ✨ Added elegant wood mouldings to the drawer fronts for depth ✨ Swapped the plain look for stunning antique brass handles ✨ Elevated the entire piece (literally!) with chic furniture feet ✨ Finished it off with a fresh coat of paint and protected with decorators vanish The result? Total luxury on an IKEA budget. 💸 👉 SAVE this post for your next weekend project! 👉 SHARE this with someone who loves a good furniture flip! 👉 FOLLOW @thinking.inside.thebox for more budget-friendly DIY hacks and interior styling tips! by @thinking.inside.thebox$
