Being a business owner has taught me lessons that no relationship, friendship, or life advice ever could. It has taught me patience when things didn’t go as planned, resilience when I wanted to give up, and faith when I couldn’t see the outcome. It has taught me how to lead, how to sacrifice, how to make hard decisions, and how to keep showing up even on the days when no one sees the work behind the scenes. Owning a business isn’t just about making money—it’s about growth. It’s about learning who you are under pressure, trusting yourself when the answers aren’t clear, and finding strength you never knew you had.

I’m grateful for every lesson, every setback, every victory, every customer, every supporter, and every opportunity to keep building something bigger than myself.
The journey hasn’t always been easy, but it has been worth it.

First and foremost, I have to give all the glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your grace, Your mercy, and for allowing me to witness another year of my son’s life. There were moments I didn’t know how we’d make it, but You never left our side. Today is proof that Your faithfulness never fails.

Today… my heart is full. My baby is 16 years old. 🥹💙
Sixteen years ago, God entrusted me with the second greatest gift I could have ever received. From the moment I first held my 9 pound giant in my arms, my life changed forever. Every laugh, every tear, every lesson, every milestone has helped shape not only the incredible young man you’re becoming, but also the woman and mother I’ve grown into. Watching you grow has been one of the greatest honors of my life. You’ve taught me about unconditional love, resilience, forgiveness, patience, and a strength I didn’t know I had. Even on the hardest days, I would choose being your mom a thousand times over.

My prayer for you is that you always know who you are and whose you are. I pray that God orders every step you take, protects you when I can’t, opens doors no one can shut, and surrounds you with people who genuinely love and value you. May you never settle for less than the purpose God has for your life. Happy 16th Birthday, my ShaQuan. No matter how old you get, you’ll always be my baby. Thank you for giving my life a love so deep that words could never fully describe it. Mama Loves you sooooooo much! 🩷💙😘🎊🥰🙌🏽

It’s really happening and I can’t be more excited!!!!

This Saturday June 20th, First Class Luxury Lounge will host its 1st Annual Sip, Shop, and Support Vendor/ Networking event! 🍹🛍️💙

We have some very dedicated business owners coming out to showcase their talents and spread information on their products. They have worked tirelessly to perfect their crafts and would be grateful for your support. We would love to have you come out between 11am-5pm and show them some love. First Class Luxury Lounge GSO will be open as well for brunch and we just might have something special for the “sippers” 😉

In honor of the most beautiful and awakening Taurus season, I wrote something called “Im trying”. Like to read it, here is goes…

I’m trying to unlearn survival mode
and relearn the feeling of being safe again.

I’m trying to express to myself
how proud I am of me
without the validation of others.

I’m trying to make sure I don’t feel guilty
when it’s all said and done
for being a good person,
and actually learn to put my foot down.

I’m trying to understand
that the power is in the tongue
and learn to speak louder to the universe
about the things I deserve.

I’m trying to come out of hiding,
out of hurt,
out of the old version of me
that only knew how to survive.

I’m trying to become softer
without becoming weak.
I’m trying to trust peace
without waiting for something to go wrong.

Most of all,
I’m trying to love myself enough
to believe that healing
isn’t something I have to earn.

And one day,
all this trying
will turn into living.

I will stop apologizing
for choosing myself.
I will stop shrinking
to make others comfortable.

I will trust my voice,
trust my softness,
trust that peace belongs to me too.

And when it’s all said and done,
I will finally become
the person I needed
all along.
