Seven Bungalows History..
Once upon a time, Juhu wasn’t just beaches and coconut trees, it was a weekend escape for the elites of old Bombay.
British officers, Portuguese families, and Parsi merchants all came here for coastal retreats.
And right in the middle of this island-like landscape stood seven massive Anglo-Indian bungalows that shaped the identity of the whole neighbourhood.

Most of them are gone today…
But the name Seven Bungalows still holds the memory of the homes that once watched over this coastline.

Mumbai changes fast, but its stories never leave.
Save this for your next walk through the city.

They build homes they’ll never own.

I went to a construction site and asked the workers one question: what does your dream home look like?
India has over 4.5 crore construction workers, and lakhs of them leave their villages and families to work in cities.
They live in tin sheds right next to the towers they build.
Only 2.2% of construction workers in India get any kind of social security.
The next time you walk into your dream home, remember who actually built it. Follow @thinkwithprarit for more.

India won 21 golds. Women won 11.

At the Asian Games 2026 in Japan, India won 21 gold medals and finished 4th in Asia.
11 of those 21 golds came from women’s events: hockey, boxing, archery, cricket, kabaddi, shooting, golf and the 4x400m relay. Count the mixed events too, and women were part of 14 golds.
The women’s hockey team won gold for the first time since 1982, and 17-year-old Kumkum Mohod became the first Indian woman to win an individual recurve archery gold.
But back home, the Sports Ministry told Parliament this March that SAI received 33 sexual harassment complaints in 10 years. 25 were against coaches, and only 2 coaches were terminated.
More than half our golds came from women. The least we owe them is a system that keeps them safe. Follow @thinkwithprarit for more stories like this.

Real estate isn't a man's world.

I travel to different cities for work, and on every construction site I visit, I see the same thing.
Women carrying bricks, mixing cement, working all day. Many with their kids sitting nearby.
Almost 1 in 9 construction workers in India is a woman. And she earns about a third less than a man for the same work.
Then I go to the sales office, and I meet women brokers closing deals. Some registered, many not.
But when we talk about real estate, we only talk about men.
So I wrote down everything I found. The numbers, the stories, and what nobody is counting.
Comment STORY and I'll send you the full article.

don't miss this!
Five stories:

1. BRICS, Delhi. At the 18th summit, screens went up around slums, including Coolie Camp in Vasant Vihar (about 281 households). The same camp was screened for G20 2023. Opposition called it hiding poverty; others say foreign media fixates on poverty.

2. The Patna temple. Not built yet. On 29 July a Bihar welfare board for transgender persons approved a proposal for a Modi temple: about 5 acres, ₹112 crore, a gold statue, per reports. State approval was pending in August. Supporters call it gratitude for the 2019 rights law; critics question priorities. Private Modi shrines have been built before (Rajkot 2015, Tamil Nadu 2019); this is about scale and who pays.

3. The tariff. On 16 Sept the US House passed a Russia-Iran sanctions bill, 262-159. It lets Trump impose up to 100% tariffs on top buyers of Russian oil, naming India for the first time. It is discretionary. Russian crude was nearly a third of India's FY26 crude imports.

4. Adani's map. A viral 2014 vs now map shows a few ports and power plants growing into airports, cement, mining, agro. EBITDA: ₹89,806 crore (FY25), ₹94,834 crore (FY26). Gross debt is about ₹3.7 lakh crore; the group says leverage stays under its 3.5x ceiling. Growth, or proximity to power?

5. IIT Bombay. Students are protesting after a second-year student died by suicide, demanding accountability, mental health support and an independent inquiry. The institute disputes the family's allegations; police are investigating. If this hits close to home, talk to someone you trust.

My read: land, money, visibility. Who owns the map, who pays the bill, who gets hidden behind the curtain.

Which one needs a full breakdown? Comment the number. Follow @thinkwithprarit.

Two views. One apartment.

I was standing in an under-construction flat in Worli, and I just turned around and the whole city changed.
One side, the Arabian Sea. The other side, the South Mumbai skyline.
Same apartment. Two different Mumbais.
Comment “location” and I’ll tell you exactly where I was standing.

Who got the wonders? Not you.

Ambani's wealth up 542%, Adani's up 1535% — both paper wealth, tied to market cap, not salaries.
BJP's funds up 322%, from ₹970 Cr to ₹6,769 Cr — 85% of all national parties combined.
Congress sits at ₹918 Cr. Every other party splits single-digit crores.
Public debt up 119% in the same decade — someone always pays for the boom.
The opposition isn't fighting with one-third of the money. It's fighting with a sliver.

Developers don’t pay for creativity.

Real estate marketing isn’t about how good your reel looks — it’s about how fast attention turns into a booked unit. This one’s for every broker, creator, and agency owner marketing real estate: if you’re not generating revenue for the developer at that table, your creativity doesn’t matter. All a developer wants is one thing — how you’re bringing in leads and revenue. Quality over quantity, always. If you want to know how I crack this every time, comment “GUIDE” and I’ll send you my personalised tips.

This wall ends every builder’s pitch.

“Premium quality.” “World class.” “International standards.” Ye teen shabd koi bhi bol sakta hai, aur koi bhi bech sakta hai.
Is developer ne show flat se pehle ek specification wall install ki hai — jismein wahi wires, pipes aur hydrants lage hain jo actually aapke ghar ke andar jaayenge.
Baaki developers bhi yahi material use karte hain, bas kabhi apne show flat ke saath rakh ke dikhaya nahi.
Ye bhi marketing hi hai — farak sirf itna hai ki is baar claim ke saath receipt bhi mili.
Comment mein batao is specification wall ko aur kya bolte hain — follow @thinkwithprarit for more.

Most projects don’t sell. They’re just sold badly.

Marketing a project this size comes down to three moves — and I used all three here.
One: AI visualisation. Show the buyer exactly how the finished space will look, before a single slab is cast.
Two: professional shot craft. A compound this large does not sell on a phone camera.
Three: drone. Because on this project, location is the product — Eastern Freeway 10 min, BKC 15 min, Atal Setu 20 min.
One Uttam by Shree Krishna Group — 2/3/4 BHK, 20+ amenities, designed by Sanjay Puri. I market a lot of these projects, so I know which ones are actually worth the cheque.

Vande Mataram — Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, 1870s.
Jana Gana Mana — Tagore, 1911.
The difference isn’t age, it’s rules: the anthem’s 52-second format is fixed by the MHA and protected under the National Honour Act, 1971.
At Eden Gardens in 2016, Amitabh Bachchan took 1 minute 10 seconds — a police complaint followed.
The national song has no such time-lock, which is why dozens of Vande Mataram versions legally exist.
Equal respect. Different rulebooks.
