Pie season started early at my home this year! I created this updated version of Snow White’s Grumpy Pie, a colorful riff on the classic. Complete with vine scroll motifs and a blue bird made from pie dough scraps, it was so much fun creating this for @disney. ✨✨✨

Happy New Year! We spent the holidays trying out cookies from all around the world, baking many recipes from scratch and adding in a few of our store-bought favs to create this It’s A Small World Cookie Clock! It was neat getting to create new flavors from our home kitchen, and I really enjoyed watching my little girl get to travel the world one cookie at a time.

Here’s a list of the cookies on the clock:
12 o’clock Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies (US) 🇺🇸

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, caregivers, and nurturers out there! 🌺🌸🌼

Stocked up with an armful of budget-friendly blooms from Trader Joe’s, I made a Minnie Flower Cake with my daughter this weekend. It was inspired by some of the topiaries and garden displays @downtowndisney and at #epcot. 💐👧🏻💕

My daughter made many of the art and color choices on this project. A fun twist on the traditional bouquet and calorie-free!🥰 by @thirstyfortea

Mickey Ramen Eggs! 🍜🥚🍳❤️✨✨✨

I experimented with many gadgets, including cookie cutters and melon ballers, to get these looking as magical as possible! In the end, 2 decorating piping tips (Ateco #809 for Mickey’s face & #805 for his ears) were just the right tools to get a deep and proportional center yolk.

The silicone egg mold made the egg half look slightly bigger and that much more magical! 🐭❤️✨✨✨

I was inspired by my friend @gabbyzapata to put together a tribute for our dog, Fred, this year. Our sweet boy Fred passed away almost 3 years ago now, and we miss him so much everyday.

I know Gabby through some of our work at Disney and have always been a huge fan of hers. Her art is vibrant, bright, and bold.

“The Ofrenda That We Built” gives step-by-step directions on how to honor the memory of your loved ones. I especially enjoyed creating the #papelpicado banner out of delicate tissue paper.

Without prompting, my daughter even added her own touches—some drawings and sentiments. I love that the book inspired her to have positive feelings around our beloved dog’s passing. And since chicken sticks were always Fred’s fav, we decided that they had to be part of the scene! 🍗🍗🍗The cinnamon rolls were a sub for pan de muerto, which my local Mexican market ran out of. I think I’ll try to make some year! 😄

What a fun activity this was for us. Thank you for creating this book, Gabby. 💙❤️💜💚

“Ooooooh!” Here’s our submission to the pumpkin decorating contest this year! We had a blast making this one! 🚀💚💜💙

Our “claw” was made from 2 open binder rings glued together and to a piece of black string. The arcade game knobs and buttons were made from milk carton caps and a red gum ball. I especially loved the small light, which I attached on the inside “roof” of the pumpkin for a flashy effect. 🪐💫🍕🍕🍕 Hope you enjoy it! 🎃 by @thirstyfortea

A big shout out to my wonderful friend Rachel over @pixiedustandposies for creating this gorgeous book. I’ve been away from Instagram for many months, but a share of this super fun cookbook was definitley a compelling reason to pop back in!

“Entertaining with Magic” is filled with so many spooky and delicious recipes. Many of recipes and ideas can be adapted to be enjoyed anytime of year, so if you’re a Disney fan you really must check it out!

My daughter and I made a batch of Candy Corn Krispie Treats to share with her class. Aren’t the Mickey chocolate chips so cute? Next up: I’ll be making Rachel’s Mickey Pumpkin Spice Beignets over Thanksgiving break!! Happy Halloween, my friends!🎃❤️🌽 by @thirstyfortea

Mickey Egg Cookies are a fun way to add some sunshine to your Easter table! These are usually filled with lemon curd, but for a golden shade of orange reminiscent of the richest yolks, I filled these with a tangy, homemade mango curd! by @thirstyfortea

Happy Pi Day, dreamers! 🥧🍇✨ This sweet grape pie is inspired by the deliciously adorable character of STAR in @disneywishmovie.

My latest bake is filled with juicy purple grapes (kind of unusual, but I couldn’t resist the gorgeous color!), pie crust, star sprinkles, and apricot fruit leather (for the eyes and mouth). I enjoyed using egg wash here to give STAR his 2 distinct shades of yellow—a golden body (egg-washed) with a butter yellow face (not egg-washed).

You can learn more about this character @oonaraoo’s page—he’s the @waltdisneyanimation artist behind STAR. There are so many cute takes and sketches of STAR on Nara’s page. I was especially charmed to discover that the character is inspired by his daughter, Yumi! So cute!!
