Happy to officially share some of my favourite moments from this music video, shot with @twinnie_the_us_official 🫶🏾

With the song following two guys trying to leave the hood, our visual approach was rooted in the idea of confinement — the feeling of wanting to move forward while the environment around you keeps closing in.

We used the 4:3 aspect ratio to reinforce that loss of freedom in the township, while allowing the environment to remain an important part of the story.

Really proud of these frames. 🎞️ by @this_is_x_files

The camera remains focused solely on the character, We deliberately chose not to reveal the world around him, as his world revolves entirely around himself. He sees no one but himself, and the visual approach reflects that. REAPER @serene.sydy taken in Cape Town, South Africa by @this_is_x_files
