Authentication Update

At Maison Maroné, we believe that preserving history begins with authenticating it. We are proud to announce the successful completion of the House’s first historical artifact authentication in support of the acquisition of an important cultural treasure: the presentation sabre of General Agha Petros.

As part of our provenance research, the blade has been authenticated as a genuine work of the historic Manufacture Royale d’Armes Blanches du Klingenthal, founded in 1730 under King Louis XV. As the official sword manufactory of the French Crown, Klingenthal later supplied edged weapons during the reign of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, establishing itself as one of the most distinguished arms manufacturers in French history. That this extraordinary presentation sabre was crafted by such a renowned house adds another remarkable chapter to its story.

Our research now enters its next phase as we begin discussions with Cartier to further investigate the “Cartier Paris” signature and better understand the historical relationship between the famed Parisian jeweler and the Klingenthal manufactory in the creation of this exceptional piece.

We extend our sincere gratitude to President Marc Adolf and the Association for the Preservation of Klingenthal for their generosity, expertise, and assistance in verifying the sword’s origins. Their knowledge has been invaluable in advancing this research. by @thisisasher

Today is my birthday, and I’m feeling especially blessed. Grateful for the incredible women I get to work alongside every day — strong, loyal, hardworking, and always showing up for one another. Having a team that feels like family is something I’ll never take for granted. by @thisisasher

On behalf of myself and the entire Board of Vote Assyrian, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank every single Assyrian who braved the cold and came out today to be part of this historic flag raising ceremony. Your presence made this moment truly meaningful and demonstrated the strength, unity, and pride of our community.

I would also like to personally thank Mayor Ann Tennes and Village Manager John Lockerby for attending and for their continued support and assistance in making this flag raising ceremony possible. Your partnership and commitment to inclusivity are deeply appreciated.

Last but certainly not least, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the elected officials, community leaders, and our non-Assyrian friends who honored us with their attendance today. Your support stands as a powerful reminder that our community is welcomed, respected, and valued.

Today was not just a ceremony — it was a historic milestone for the Assyrian community.

Thank you all.
