Ever wonder how apps like Facebook happened to find that one person you talked to at a party a while back to suggest as a friend?

Well, not only do they cross-reference your contact lists and lots of other data about you, they can also use gyroscopic and signal strength data from your phone to determine who you talked to (or hooked up with) at that party.

The information in this video is based on a patent filed by Facebook in 2017, called “Systems and Methods for Utilizing Wireless Communications to Suggest Connections for a User.”
