‘Seventeen’ is out now 🥹 Ive been listening to this song everyday 20 million times over ever since I got the first demo back. It’s been the sound track to my life for a while and now it’s yours ❤️‍🔥

I’ve written so many half-finished songs about being 17 over the years. I think because some part of me has always been trying to find my way back to that version of myself.

I loved being 17.

It was the year of firsts, first loves, first gigs, buying my first car, drinking my first coffee, getting far too drunk for the first time, and feeling freedom crack open in front of me. All I cared about was surfing with my friends and dancing at the uni bar while watching cool local bands play.

For a long time, I was scared of getting older. I thought if I held on tightly enough to who I was at 17, I wouldn’t have to face what came next.

But writing this song made me realise maybe growing up isn’t about leaving that version of yourself behind.

It’s about carrying them with you.

I think I’ve been trying to write this song since I was 17.

It feels like a love letter to that girl, and I really think she’d love it.

Seventeen is the first single from my upcoming EP you’ll figure it out, kid.

My first London headline show 🥀

I was so nervous before walking on stage. But in the best way. I loved every part of the process. The rehearsals, the late nights, the stress, the excitement, the tiny details that somehow become the biggest things.

This show was built by so many incredible people. My dad hand-stitching merch with me and running around sorting all the things I’d forgotten. Hattie letting me turn her room into a dumping ground and pre-show dressing room. Zac making sure every visual, track and piece of gear was exactly how I’d imagined it. Jake and Lachie joining my band and bringing so much energy, fun and support. Marcela behind the desk making us sound our best. Nat capturing moments I’ll look back on for the rest of my life.

The show wasn’t perfect. My guitar started playing up in the first song, I felt stiff for the first few songs, and there were moments where everything felt like a blur.

But there were also moments where I felt completely present. Connected. The feeling that i was exactly where i was ment to be.

Eighty-year-old me will look back at these photos and smile. Proof that I lived. That I had the courage to try. To fail. To keep going. To thrive.

Thank you to everyone who came, sang, danced, helped, believed in me, or has supported me in any way.
