Outlying Works Pt 2.... 💕 I'm pretty sure this isn't the right way to release music at the moment, but hey.. If I don't release them and pass them over to the conscientious dancers amongst you, the doubt creeps in and they will never the see the light of day, the creative loop becomes incomplete. This is probably the most personal project I've ever released 🌱 By the time we came out of the pandemic, a lot had changed for me, I'd spent a lot of time in the studio and nothing had really happened. The worry of what the future might look like, the worry of everything really. I had accepted a job with the NHS services and had 2 weeks of studio time before I went into that full time My plan was to throw every stupid barriers you built up over time out the window and write anything that came into my head as I saw fit in that moment. I only had about 3 very loose demos. I tend to write a lot of ideas down, so I just got to work. I took every hazy club memory, every feeling at the particular time and did what I love doing, captured it (mostly on tape) Writing in the moment, purely from the heart.. It was easily the best writing experience I've ever had.  Looking back, what happened next was predictably funny. I got the artwork together and then sat on the project for a couple of years.  In a hopeful moment I sent it to a couple of people without any real plan for it. Tom from Overmono responded with a nice comment which encouraged me to send it out and it ended up getting signed. I released it under the radar, with a different name, no association to any other alias. Considering there was zero online profile, the DJ feedback was overwhelming. Artists I never thought would support my music, supported it, loved it, wrote amazing feedback which blows my mind to this day. Why am I only talking about this now?  A few reasons. This is probably my best ever creative output, I can feel it when I listen back to it. I'm very proud of it, maybe I should do it more x by @thisisboxia

'Rave Healer' feels like one of those ones that I'll be proud of in the future 💕 It's really nice to be included in this VA on a label out of one of my favourite cities, Bogota 🇨🇴 When @confidentialrecipe asked me for music for this project, I knew the perfect track for it. As another trip round the sun for me is complete, I want to tell you about an amazing project I've been involved in. I'm blessed to have been asked to contribute to the first VA on @nadiastruiwigh very own @distortedwaves__ imprint. This project was slightly different in that all of the contributors used sounds from Nadia's @bandlab Sample Pack. Nadia's approach to music and life in general is gloriously warm and open, and she's a real inspiration, so thanks for getting in touch about this one 🙌🏽 Some amazing artists on this release...
