And many more. I’ve realised that my relationship to drugs is tied together with my nervous system. When I was at the peak of my drug addiction I’d be eating colourful pills I would find on the floor in Berghain pretty much every weekend for years. I realise now that I was regulating my nervous system, consuming drugs was the only tool I knew back to then to regulate myself and feel normal, pretty crazy hey. Now I know better, and I have sooo many rituals and things I do to regulate myself and scratch that itch, even though sometimes it feels exhausting that I have to do fifteen million rituals, to feel like I can exist in my body, but that’s life… for now 🥰

I have been sober from alcohol and drugs more than 50 days now, it’s my longest sober streak since I started consuming drugs and alcohol. I am not entirely sure where this is going, I feel good and happy without alcohol and drugs. I miss it a bit when I go out, but then again I also get the thought that if I were to consume anything would it make my night better? Would I experience something I haven’t experienced before? The answer is no. I realise without the consumption I am more present, I feel myself more, i am more content and i am somehow closer to my higher self. I think that mostly I want to break a pattern of my own addictive behaviour, idk how, but I know by staying on this path I will get an answer eventually. Also my face looks much younger since I stopped drinking and doing drugs. by @thisiscelinedijjon
