Homeschooling mama & momager of 🖐🏼 Lover of books 📚 food 🍽 & animal print 🐆 I want the world to see CHRIST-en me 🌟

POSTS STORIES REELS

Somewhere along the way, I stopped asking how all the pieces of my life fit together—& started asking what God might be making of them. 🤍

The writer. The mother of five. The homeschool mom. The momager. The girl who will always love a good book, a flavorful meal, unrushed conversations, & a little animal print.

For a long time, I thought these parts of me needed to make sense as one clearly defined thing. But maybe a life well lived isn’t always so easily categorized.

Maybe the things we love, the gifts we’re given, the responsibilities we carry, & even the unexpected detours are all part of a bigger story—one we can’t fully see while we’re living it.

I’m learning that stewardship isn’t about making every piece fit according to my own plan. It’s about being faithful with what’s in my hands, remaining open to where God leads, and trusting Him with the shape of the story.

I don’t have it all figured out. But I’m no longer convinced that I need to.

I’m simply learning to live this life with greater intention, hold it with open hands, & remember Who it belongs to in the first place.

Faith. Family. Stewardship.

All for His glory. Always. ✨ by @thisischristenfox

📚 CURRENT READS: A little Hollywood history, a little true crime, & a whole lot to think about.

Being back in LA right now has me reflecting on the books I’ve been reading lately—& how differently I approach them now that my family is navigating the entertainment industry firsthand.

From celebrity memoirs to Hollywood’s hidden history, these 4 books offered fascinating, sometimes unsettling, & genuinely valuable perspectives:

📖 This Is Me: A Reckoning — Hayden Panettiere

📖 Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties — Tom O’Neill with Dan Piepenbring

📖 Hollywood Babylon — Kenneth Anger

📖 The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe — James Patterson and Imogen Edwards-Jones

I found all 4 worthwhile for different reasons. Together, they gave me more to consider about fame, power, vulnerability, the stories we tell about public figures, & the complicated history behind the entertainment industry.

As a momager helping my children explore opportunities in this world, I’m learning that supporting their dreams also means educating myself about the environment they’re entering.

It’s not about approaching every opportunity with fear. It’s about going in with open eyes, asking thoughtful questions, understanding boundaries, & being intentional about the people & situations we entrust with our children.

I want my kids to pursue their passions boldly while knowing that their well-being, values, & identities matter far more than any role, opportunity, or measure of success.

And I believe part of stewarding their gifts well is doing my own homework.

Because sometimes protecting our children means learning about the world they’re stepping into before they have to navigate it themselves.

Do you read books about the industries, cultures, or environments your children are entering? I’d love to hear your recommendations! 🤓 by @thisischristenfox

People often call me Superwoman 🦸🏻‍♀️

& sometimes I wonder if they have any idea how often I feel like I’m barely keeping my head above water 😂

Bc the truth is, there is a LOT on my plate right now.

5 kids.
Homeschooling.
Dance/sports schedules.
Auditions.
Travel.
Work.
Emails.
Contracts to review.
Appointments.
Packing.
Unpacking.
Momaging.
Creating.
Planning.
Pivoting.

& approximately 4,739 tabs open in my brain at any given moment 🫠

There are moments when I look at it all & think…

How am I supposed to do all of this?

But then I remember:

I’m not.

Not by myself.

I don’t believe God promises that He will only give us what we can handle.

Sometimes He allows us to walk through circumstances far beyond our own capacity—bc dependence on Him is exactly where He wants us.

I’ve lived that enough times to know this:
If God gives it to me, He will provide for me.

If it’s part of His will, He will make a way.

He will give me the strength, wisdom, provision, guidance, & capacity I need for what He’s asking me to carry.

& sometimes His provision is simply enough grace for today.

I’ve spent a lot of this season feeling like I need to become stronger, more organized, more disciplined, more capable…

when maybe the lesson has been the opposite.

Maybe I don’t need to become Superwoman.

Maybe I need to become more dependent.

More willing to say:

Lord, I can’t do this without You.

I don’t know how this is all going to work.

I don’t have enough in myself.

But I trust You.

Bc this life I’m living wasn’t my plan. Not all of it, anyway.

There have been unexpected turns, impossible-looking circumstances, doors I never expected to walk through, & responsibilities I never imagined I’d carry.

& yet, here I am.

Still standing.
Still moving.
Still saying YES.

Not bc I have everything figured out.

Not bc I have some extraordinary capacity that everyone else doesn’t have.

But bc His grace keeps meeting me where mine runs out.

And maybe that’s what I’m learning in this season:

God doesn’t ask me to be enough for what He’s called me to do.

He asks me to trust that He is enough.

& that changes everything. 🤍 by @thisischristenfox

Does anyone remember the @rachaelray show “40 a Day”? Gosh, I loved that show so much & “30 Minute Meals” too. In fact, @rachaelray taught me how to cook & I still use many of her tips & tricks when cooking for my family today ❤️

I’ve been traveling so much as a momager lately & often have nearly a whole day to myself. So I thought I could use RR’s throwback show as my inspiration to track my food/drink purchases throughout the day to keep me on budget! It was fitting too, as I spent hours today organizing/tracking all my momager-related expenses for the year 🙌🏼

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” — Colossians 3:2

These words sank deep into my soul this morning.

I’ve spent the last 5 years navigating seasons I never could have mapped out for myself—motherhood, homeschooling, unexpected pivots, closed doors, old dreams dying, new dreams born, & some beautiful ones beginning to bloom.

& looking back, I’m realizing something:

God was never asking me to understand every step 👣 He was always asking me to trust Him with every step ✨

Maybe that is what stewardship really is.

Not controlling the outcome of what has been entrusted to us, but faithfully tending it 🪏👩🏻‍🌾

Our children.
Our homes.
Our gifts.
Our bodies.
Our creativity.
Our opportunities.
Our influence.
Our dreams.

None of it is ultimately ours. It has been entrusted to us for a season, & our job is to cultivate it faithfully while keeping our eyes fixed on the One who entrusted it to us☝🏼

That has been one of the biggest lessons of this season for me.

I’m learning that being a momager isn’t about building 5 little careers or manufacturing successful children. It’s about stewarding 5 individual people—recognizing the gifts God placed inside each of them, helping cultivate those gifts, & then trusting Him with where He chooses to take them.

& perhaps that is why this acct is coming alive again 💫

Years ago, I wrote about what we consume & how the things we surround ourselves with ultimately shape who we become.

Today, I find myself asking a slightly different question 👇🏼

What am I cultivating in the people—& the life—God has entrusted to me?

The answer is still unfolding…
But I’m learning to trust the Gardener.

& I’m learning that sometimes what feels like being uprooted is actually being replanted exactly where He intended us to grow 🌱

A beautiful invitation to slow down, settle into God’s Word, & make space for Him. 🤍

‘Rise and Renew’ by @candacecbure is part devotional, part journal, & part quiet invitation to ponder, pray, & connect more deeply with the Holy Spirit ✨

And did I mention it’s aesthetically pleasing? Because… seriously. STUNNING 😍

A beautiful book for anyone wanting to create a little more intentional space for God’s Word in their day 📖

🎁 Makes a perfect gift, too! by @thisischristenfox

The best way to sum up my life lately is through the words of Forrest Frank, “Life gave me some lemons but my Jesus, He be making’ lemonade, lemonade…” 🍋

But as the lemonade was being crafted & stirred, I unwittingly squeezed myself dry.

I poured so much of myself into other things that I forgot to include the best ingredients of God’s recipe 😞

Even so, I’ve still kept my faith as the driver of whatever path I’ve been navigating & that has led me to this moment.

In my social media absence of this acct, I’ve been busy building something different. Something I should have seen coming but I guess that’s what happens when you keep your eyes fixed on Him & allow Him to lead the way. Stumbles, road blocks, detours, pivots & all.

So with that said, I’m sensing God breathing new life into me & this acct. I am still the same writer, encourager, foodie, fitness girly, book geek, & lover of all things animal print (since I 1st discovered cheetah at my aunt’s house in the early 90s, may I add), but now I’m adding something fresh & fun to the mix - momager of my 5 incredibly talented kids 🤗

I hope you’ll stick around to see a different side of me, the crazy cool chaotic life I’ve been living, the ups/downs of the exploring the arts & entertainment industry through a God-fearing, biblically-rooted, Spirit-filled lens, & the journey of raising 5 children to become shining stars of truth, life, & light for the only Way, Truth & Life ☝️

After all, that is why we are all here - to utilize the talents God has gifted us to use in whatever place or platform He has given us. We are called to be in alignment w/His assignments (even if we don’t ask for them or even desire who/what/where He is calling us to be/do/go). Our passions are His purposes.

Everything is all for His glory. Today, tomorrow, always 🙏 by @thisischristenfox
