Since the beginning of 2021, I’ve dealt with a situation. After an ER visit in December, I found out that, along with covid, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. I’ve experienced rounds of pain, suffering, anger, sadness, & depression. I’ve had to be pricked over 50 times in the arm. I’ve had to have 5 ER visits before I even went on to have 2 ileoscopy surgeries: the first being the original & the second being the reversal. It was bad enough that I had to experience this but this year brought on more challenges & obstacles than I’ve ever faced in my entire life. Regardless, I say all this to say one thing: I am not the same person you knew before this. I strive to be better than who I was before surgery & even after the 1st surgery when I worked out often. I strive to better myself physically, mentally, emotionally, & spiritually. I strive… to make that guy you saw at the very beginning of this video… proud. I want to make him proud to see what he turned out to be & how far he came. I can say with confidence that I’ve recovered enough to the point that I’m alright to live my life but I want to be better. All I can relay from this is that if I’ve been kicked down this hard & still got up, there’s something awaiting me & my future. Now, it’s time to chase it. by @thisisdubc
