Reflection is a big thing for me. When I look back over my life, I realize just how far I’ve actually come.

The pain, the lessons, the mistakes, the disappointments—all of it played a part in building my character and shaping the woman I am today.

33 years on this earth has taught me that I don’t want to stay stuck in the past. Life is simply too short. The months turn into years so quickly, and once that time is gone, we can’t get it back.

I can reflect on where I’ve been, appreciate what it taught me, and still choose not to live there.

At this point in my life, I just want to keep moving forward. Becoming. Growing. Living. 💚💫🙏🏽

There is no being a student of music for me without studying Anita Baker. 💚✨🥹

My Mama played Anita all the time growing up, so her music was passed down to me. The soulfulness, the tone, the technique, the way she can make you feel every single note… timeless.

And knowing there were once people who didn’t believe in her voice makes her journey even more inspiring. She kept going. She believed.

I study the greats not to duplicate them, but to learn from their technique, discipline, drive and ambition — and become the best version of me as an artist.

Anita Baker is simply one of the 🐐hands down and one of my musical inspirations

REAL RECOGNIZE REAL. 💚💫💪🏽🙏🏽🥹

I’ve never been the type to do anything for clicks, likes, or views. If I stand next to you, support you, or call you somebody I rock with, it’s because I genuinely respect you. Period.

Coming from Miami, Florida, one thing I’ve always wanted to do is be part of the change I wanted to see around me and within my environment.

I wish more of us could come together and truly be happy for one another — no competition, no hidden motives, no weird energy. Just genuine people supporting genuine people and wanting to see each other win.

Because when you find people who really rock with you, that means something. ❤️

I’m so grateful God connected me with @jessthechosen. From the beginning, she has been professional, respectful, encouraging, and such a vibe. I truly appreciate what she created with the @choseneventsofficial and the opportunity she gave me to step back onto that stage.

I can’t wait for us to do more events like this and continue getting better and better at what we already know we were called to do — live in our purpose and let the world witness it.

WHAT A NIGHT!!! 💚🔥🙏🏽💪🏽🦋

I faced my fears. I went through it. And one thing I’ll always believe is that when God calls your name, you step forward — whether you feel ready or not.

When I got the call from @jessthechosen about performing at the Chosen Artist Showcase, I wasn’t ready to get back onstage at all 😂. But this was an opportunity I wasn’t searching for — it found me. And I knew in my spirit, Okay God… You’re calling my name. I have to step forward.

That night, I performed “Soul Ties” in front of a crowd for the very first time, and that meant the world to me. I also got to perform my debut single, “Elevate,” again — a song that continues to mean something different to me every time I sing it.

The more I perform these records, the more comfortable I’m becoming with them. I’m learning how to sing them my way, how to be vulnerable, how to trust myself onstage, and how to just be present in the moment.

And I feel good. 🥹

Every performance isn’t about being perfect. For me, it’s about getting stronger, learning, growing, becoming more comfortable onstage, and taking everything I learn into the next one.

This is definitely a night I’ll never forget. One for the books, with many more to come.

Thank you to @choseneventsofficial for giving me the opportunity to step back on that stage. I’m grateful I said yes. 💚💫
