Some fragrances just smell good. Others make you feel something.

Jacmel Sunset by @thisishowisunday brings you back to the feeling of sitting in a freshly cleaned home with your family around, local fruit being cut up and passed around, music playing in the background, while you chat and enjoy each others company.

🍍Fresh & Fruity: Bright, uplifting notes of Pineapple.

🌿 Earthy & Warm: Haitian vetiver brings a woody, grounding depth that feels comforting and familiar.

☀️ Fresh & Nostalgic: That clean, refreshing feeling that takes me back to Sundays in Grenada. A freshly cleaned home, bush tea brewing, music playing, and an afternoon drive with nowhere in particular to go.

I’ve never been to Haiti, but I know what a slow Caribbean weekend feels like. And I love how a fragrance inspired by one island can evoke memories of another.

It’s more than a scent. It’s a feeling, a memory, a little piece of home.
A Caribbean Sunday, bottled. 🤎🌴

A little housekeeping

While transitioning servers, we discovered that our email hasn’t been properly receiving messages for approximately two weeks.

If you reached out and didn’t receive a response, please know we weren’t ignoring you! We genuinely may not have received your message.

Everything is being corrected now, but if you sent us an email recently and are still waiting to hear back, please resend it so we can make sure you’re taken care of.

Thank you for your patience while this small business owner handles yet another job I did not know was in the job description. 😂 by @thisishowisunday

The video says September 1st because that’s when I recorded it. The fact that I’m posting it on September 8th is very much on brand for me. 😂

But the update still stands.

One year of Island Echoes. One year of learning, growing, changing my mind about packaging 47 times, and watching this little fragrance house find its people.

We’re still small. We’re still figuring things out. But we’re growing, and I’m so grateful you’re here for it.

Happy belated anniversary to Chapter 2. 🧡

Year two, we got work to do.

We quietly released our Island Echoes Body Oils to Sunday Family first, and the response has been incredible.

Now, only a few bottles from this limited drop remain.

🟠 Sweet Mas
🟣 Noir Heat
🟢 Limon Blanco

Same scents you know. A new way to wear them.

Wear your oil alone for a softer scent ritual, or layer it with your matching Island Echoes Eau de Toilette.

If you’ve been meaning to grab yours, this is your sign. 👀

Shop the remaining body oils at thisishowisunday.com.

Thank you for making our quiet launch feel anything but quiet.

Sweet and grounded, the perfect way to describe the @thisishowisunday Jacmel Sunset fragrance.

As someone who loves supporting local brands and regional ones too, I was honoured to receive this beautiful package from @iamsashar. It's allowed me to experience the way that Haiti has inspired her.

A Sunday kinda love…

When This Is How I Sunday reached out about their latest release, a Caribbean-inspired fragrance, I immediately said yes! To know me is to know I’m an island girl through and through. 🌴

But what I didn’t know was that the fragrance was named after Jacmel, the city my dad is from. 🥹

The moment I smelled it, I was transported back to summers in Haiti; the sand between my toes, the sweetness of fresh fruit taken straight from the source, and the warm Caribbean breeze underneath a coconut tree.

The intentionality behind this entire package? From the mailer to the personalized bag tag, Haitian proverb and passport-inspired booklet detailing the fragrance notes and inspiration, every detail felt like an ode to Jacmel. To Ayiti!

@thisishowisunday you have truly outdone yourselves with Chapter 2. I absolutely love it, and I'm so proud to see this beautiful dedication to Jacmel.

Please support this Haitian-owned small business that is supporting Haiti. ✨🇭🇹

A little piece of Jacmel, Haiti in a bottle. 🌅🇭🇹

Meet Jacmel Sunset by @thisishowisunday — a clean, vegan fragrance inspired by the golden hour along the Caribbean Sea.

🍍 Pineapple
🍑 Peach
🌿 Haitian vetiver
🤎 Warm musk

It’s fruity, warm, and effortlessly tropical without feeling overly sweet — the kind of scent that makes you want to be somewhere by the water, watching the sun go down.

I love when fragrance can tell a story, and this one feels like a love letter to Haiti. 🇭🇹✨

Chapter 2 was never meant to stay in the room. 🌴

Island Echoes began as a way to bottle the sounds, memories, and rhythms of the Caribbean — Kompa. Soca. Dancehall. Bachata.

And now, you can wear them.

Crème Kompa. Sweet Mas. Noir Heat. Limón Blanco.
All four Island Echoes scents are now available as Eau de Toilette.

Same stories.
Same island energy.
A little closer to the skin.

Because some memories deserve to follow you out the door.

Chapter 2 is officially wearable. 🇭🇹🌴✨

Which one are you wearing first?
