There is so much happening on the other side of a very ordinary transaction.
You probably have no idea how human it is over here. 🥹 by @thisiskatewarren

This business has been such a gift to my family after having kids…something I didn’t know I needed when I started this well before I had kids. This is what I’ve been able to do since 2013 and something I get to continue to do 🫶🏻 by @thisiskatewarren

We had our family photos done this week and this is what I did before our session and what I learned during it. Let me know if slide 12 resonates 😭😭 by @thisiskatewarren

A reflection of this month. Honestly, thank you to everyone who booked with me, it means so much to me I don’t think i could ever articulate my gratitude for this work that I do. November is going to be just as amazing 🍂🤎 by @thisiskatewarren

I usually just put on some good music or a show while I do this. What does your editing process look like? by @thisiskatewarren

Oh hiiii ✨ by @thisiskatewarren

I’m learning that not everything we put out into the world needs a price tag attached to it. Stay with me here…

This doesn’t mean we’re undervaluing ourselves. It doesn’t mean we’re not good business owners. And it certainly doesn’t mean we should be giving everything away for free.

Because yes, our time matters. Our experience matters. Our businesses need to make money. And sometimes paying for something is exactly what helps us commit to it.

But sometimes? Sometimes we can just create something because we feel called to.

Sometimes we can gather people without needing to sell them something.

Sometimes we can share what we know, offer what we have, or create a space for people to feel supported without expecting anything in return.

Not every gathering needs to become an event, not every idea needs to become an offer or not every gift needs to become a revenue stream.

And I think somewhere along the way, especially in the entrepreneurial world, we’ve started to believe that if something isn’t making us money, we’re somehow missing an opportunity.

But what if the opportunity is the connection? The community? The relationships we’re building?

I’m not suggesting we stop charging for our work. Far from it.

I’m just learning that there’s a time to charge for our gifts and a time to simply share them.

And maybe part of becoming a good business owner is learning to recognize the difference.

Because not everything valuable needs to be monetized to have value. 🤎 by @thisiskatewarren
