How I spent my summer vacation: in this essay I will…Jk tldr, triathlons are so hard! i swam backstroke, prob walked more than ran, held back from puking as I approached the finish line, but GD did it feel good to hear my name called and see Alexander waiting for me with my finisher medal to match his. He really pushed me to beyond my preconceived limits in even signing up for this whole shebang, and I’m so grateful. But now he owes me a vacation or a Mediterranean yoga retreat next year bc this burrata baby still longs for a tomato girl summer 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️shout out @tower_26 for the amazing ocean swim clinics that got me over the hump, too! Also go off to all the 50&60+ age athletes who lapped me on the bike and runs, that was high key inspiring! I tried keeping pace with this lady in a cute star studded tri suit that said “move back Mofo” on her booty. But ok wtf @nikeswim with your goggles breaking immediately! @hermosabeachtri you’re a real one fr. taken in Hermosa Beach Pier by @thisisleahl
