🤍On Dit Quoi (Alternate version) - out now ✨

Today we’re releasing the last ‘album toetje 🍰’ of our album: a new version of ‘On Dit Quoi’, reimagined by @jankooper ❤️

Jan is a Dutch saxophonist, composer and producer who’s been part of the music scene for decades, working with renowned artists. When he first heard the track, he immediately started building his own interpretation — adding new textures and giving it a different feel 🎻🎷

We are very happy with how it turned out, so go give it a listen! ♡

That’s Jan — Lana’s dad.

From the very beginning of all musical endeavors, he’s been a constant supporter. As a musician himself, he had always ready with advice or to lend a hand wherever needed. But above all, he’s been our most loyal fan ♥️

When he listened to the latest album, he immediately imagined a different version of On Dit Quoi, including saxonette and strings 🎷🎻
We sent him all the files… and he ran with it.

One year ago today we were on the other side of the world, playing some of the most unforgettable shows we’ve ever experienced. 🇮🇩❤️

Indonesia, you welcomed us with so much warmth, energy and kindness. From the beautiful crowd in Yogyakarta, to the magical night at Erasmus Huis in Jakarta with @sunwichmusic, and the final show in Makassar — we still carry those memories with us.

A huge thank you again to @erasmushuis_jakarta and everyone involved in making this tour possible.
We’re forever grateful for everyone who came to the shows, talked to us after, sang along and shared their stories. We will never forget this trip. ✨

What started with a “This sounds awesome, but what song is it 😅?” turned into a very danceable and yet recognizable version of our album track ‘Oh, To Be”. 🕺🏻

@arnestyrofoam has always been the best addition to our musical escapades, but now we finally got to hear what he would do with those same ingredients if he had all the freedom to cut, alter, edit, delete, paste all of our parts. 🎶〰️✂️ by @thisisloupe

Het album Oh, To Be Home van @thisisloupe is pas net uit, maar nu al krijgt titeltrack Oh, To Be al een nieuwe frisse versie. Producer Arne Van Petegem (aka Styrofoam) remixte het nummer tot een indie dansvloervuller die direct de soundtrack van een coming-of-age film in mag. 💃🏻Oh, To Be Remix💃🏻

After producing and playing on our latest album, @arnestyrofoam created his own version of the closing track “Oh To Be”.

Known for his remix work with artists like The Postal Service, Jimmy Eat World, and Mùm, Arne transforms the song into a slow-building, hypnotic version built from looped vocals, cut-up percussion, and swirling shoegaze guitar textures. A soft but insistent beat anchors the track, while Nina’s vocal remains largely untouched, floating on top and opening the song up into a more spacious, indie-electronic world.

❄️ HAPPY NEW YEAR 🍾

For us, Annemarie Abel and Lana, 2025 was a bittersweet year. Somehow fate decided that every time we bring an album into the world, life takes an unexpected turn and our singer steps away from the band.

It happened with Here’s the 101 on How to Disappear by Dakota, then again after Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next by Loupe, and now, after Oh, To Be Home.

💕 Luckily, 2025 was also filled with highs: finishing the special album project, getting to share the new music with you, and holding the vinyl for the first time 💿

Most of all, it’s been truly heartwarming to receive all of your sweet messages ❤️🫶🏽

🔮Looking ahead, we’re still not sure what the future has in store for us, but we can share that at the end of the month we have a little album dessert for you — an awesome creation by our dearest producer @arnestyrofoam 🍮

🌍✨As we grow older, losing friendships often becomes part of life. For Nina, this was inevitable. As a child, she had to move from Africa to Europe, making it difficult to hold on to her childhood friendships. In this song, she describes her longing for old memories in a striking and heartfelt way. Because the story is so personal, she sings the song in French, the language she spoke in Ivory Coast. 🇨🇮
