THE COLOUR OF SPACE IS OUT | LISTEN NOW 🎧

On this very day last year we were recording Play Hats @glowormrecording. And over 3 years ago @donald_macdonald_music_ and I met to start working on some ideas (see pic 2). It feels surreal that the album is finally here but I’m an absolutely delighted for you to hear it. If you like it, I would massively appreciate if you could share it 🙏

Thanks to everyone who has contributed. Too many to list but special shoutouts to Donald, @bethmalc, @cinnamongreumach and @andreagobbimusicproduction for their wonderful talent and everything they’ve put into the record. To @niteworksband for their support and guidance, and to my wife Erin and our wee ones - a project like this is fairly all-consuming! 🙌

And lastly, thanks to you for all the support!

Headlining the Tower Stage at @skyelivefestival 2027 with a LUSA dj set 🌋

I’ll be putting together a specially curated, Skye-themed set — fresh edits, remixes and a few surprises for the occasion.

🔊 Sound on for a first wee taste of an unreleased LUSA remix…

Can you guess who? 👀

The final instalment in our ‘versions’ single releases. @bethmalc brought this one to the table as one of her favourite songs by the american indie band, @shearwaterband . Let us know what you think!

Good fun to record this video and sound live together last week as we began preparations for @skyelivefest. We’ll be performing it there for the first time. by @thisislusa

With quite a few new faces around here we thought we’d re-introduce ourselves. We’re LUSA and we make Scottish electronica.

LUSA was founded by myself, Innes Strachan, alongside close friends Donald Macdonald, Ruairidh Graham and Beth Malcolm. Ruairidh and I were both members of @niteworksband, where we first collaborated with Donald and Beth.

Our debut album, titled ‘The Colour of Space’, was released in September 2024. Since then, we’ve released a couple of singles in our ‘versions’ series - where we put our own spin on songs that we love. The final track from this series is coming out very soon!

We’ve all been surrounded by music from an early age which has moulded who we are. Through childhood, teenage years and into adulthood it’s always been about the music. And it still is.

The set for @skyelivefest is coming together, with a few surprises 👀. Let us know what track you’re most looking forward to ⬇️ by @thisislusa
