The trip that made it out the chat.
Southern Africa (the version no one's filming.)
📍 Lilongwe, Malawi
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Lodge owners: read your last 20 guest reviews, then scroll your Instagram. How many things guests mention are on it?

At one lakeshore lodge in Malawi, guests wrote about the vegetables grown on the estate, the chandeliers local crafters made, and the owner’s family story. The lodge’s Instagram showed the pool and the lake.

It isn’t one lodge. We read the Instagram accounts of 60 lodges and hotels across Southern Africa that fit our client profile. More than half post less than one reel a month. 11 posted none in 90 days.

Booking sites, agents and word of mouth all top out. Your own Instagram is the one channel you own, and it keeps growing.

Peza is a travel media company in Lilongwe, Malawi. We make Instagram content for lodges and hotels, built from what your guests already say.

DM us “AUDIT” for a free audit of your lodge’s Instagram.

Why did we create Peza?

We were supposed to be in Nkhotakota . The bridge broke.

One hour from home. Nowhere to stay. Defrosting meat.

That’s the trip that made Peza. A travel brand built on the trips that actually happen.

Starting in Lilongwe. Southern Africa next.

This has nothing to do with lodges.

8.8 million views for a cafe owner who rides up on a scooter, hops off, and does a cartwheel. No trick shot, no production value doing the work just a real, unmistakable personality, caught for three seconds.

The mechanic: this isn’t about shooting a mundane task like it matters. It’s a person genuinely, visibly being themselves, doing something bold and specific, on camera.

Every property has someone like that. The guide who never stops joking. The chef who dances while plating. The front-desk person with the laugh you can hear from the car park. Not a quirk to manage around the footage.

Thank you — shout out to @ellescafe for showing us that personality, not production value, is what makes ordinary footage feel like an event.

Save this. Share it with the person on your team everyone already knows is a character.

Correction: The account was not at 1900 followers at the time they posted the video

This has nothing to do with lodges.

1.4 million views. A man laying grass, start to finish. No talking, no music, nothing narrated over it.

It worked because it finished. One thing, done properly, and you got to watch the whole way through.

Every lodge and camp in this region runs four or five of these a day and throws all of them away the bush breakfast going up at 5am in the dark, the boat getting prepped, the kitchen line before service, a room turned over between guests. That's hospitality content sitting there unfilmed, every single day.

You're not short on content. You're throwing out the good stuff and posting the sunset.

Shout out to @dlsturfcourts for showing us that a job filmed start to finish, with nothing narrated over it, is still the most underrated content move there is.

Save this. Share it with whoever runs your property's Instagram.

Urban Cafe bathroom: A tier.

Everything you’d expect is there. Except the soap is diluted.

We notice these things.

Women: different experience at Urban Cafe? Tell us.

Most setups stop at the centerpiece. Theme has to live in every object you put down, including the ones you barely notice. Wooden ice buckets instead of silver. Lamps instead of overheads. That is the whole job. Curated by @maha_bespokeevents at Casa Buganvilla, Area 3 Lilongwe. by @thisispeza

A 30th birthday, a Spanish theme, and an Airbnb that already had the bones. Casa Buganvilla in Area 3, styled by @maha_bespokeevents , captured by @thisispeza . Save this if you’re planning a private event in Lilongwe and want it to feel like a destination. taken in Area 3, Lilongwe by @thisispeza

Highschool friends. Part 2. You asked.

Area 25: talking about Bitcoin in 2008. You laughed. He bought land.
Area 10 and 12: siblings at the same school. Don’t claim each other.
Rest of us can’t tell them apart.
Air Wing: you always have to be the one to reach out.
They’re always in the exact same spot.

Which area are you? Be honest.

You live 15 minutes from this BnB. You haven’t booked it yet.

If Lilongwe areas were your high school friends. Part 1.

Area 43: says he’s broke. Just ordered the most expensive thing on the menu.
Area 9: you always want to eat at his house. Mom is Hall of Fame in the kitchen.
Area 47: year below you. Great chat. Always gets you sent to the headmaster.
Area 44: quiet kid. His parents own the school. He’ll never tell you.

Tag the person who is definitely Area 43.

Lilongwe areas — from a Blantyre perspective.

Area 49 = Chilomoni.
Area 43 = Namiwawa.
Area 47 = Chitawira.

Which comparison do you disagree with most?

We were supposed to be in Nkhotakota . The bridge broke.

We turned back, defrosting meat, nowhere to stay, no plan.

What happened next is why Peza exists.

Your most chaotic trip, drop it in the comments. We’ll tell you if it beats ours.
