We started the horae remotely, but moments like this remind us: the heart of what we’re building is deeply human. Here’s to dreaming big, working hard, and meeting halfway — or all the way across the ocean. 🌎💫

With ancestral knowledge and the work of wise women, Amazonian cuisine is transforming into haute cuisine. These guardians of tradition face enormous challenges, from the threat of deforestation and climate change impacts to limited access to resources and opportunities. However, through sustainable techniques and the use of local ingredients, they are bringing the flavors of the Amazon to the world, preserving their culture, and resisting the pressures of modernity.

In the investigation “Las sabedoras que convirtieron la gastronomía ancestral amazónica en alta cocina” discover how culinary art becomes a tool for resistance and preservation. Read the full story at pulitzercenter.org and join us on this journey of flavors, wisdom, and challenges.

Exciting News! ✨ For the very first time, we are attending #COP16 in person! 🎉 We’re thrilled to witness this global event and to hear from world leaders as they tackle the pressing issues of climate change. It’s an incredible opportunity to learn, be inspired, and bring back insights to further our own sustainability journey. Stay tuned for updates from #COP16!

PS: Our illustration honors the scribes of Cali—those who wake each day to listen and bring stories to life through their words. It’s a tribute to the storytellers, to those who, like us, are passionate about sharing the story of change.

Grateful to @socentaus for giving the horae an opportunity to attend @sxswsydney!

The panels were inspiring and thought-provoking, with insights from incredible organizations like @canva, @unicefaustralia, @atlassian, #thepaybackproject, @clearhayeshouse, @startmate_aunz, and many more. 🌏

I’m sure you’re going to find a bunch of recaps on LinkedIn, lessons I’ve learned from SXSW 2024, etc.

I just wanted to share that in-person events can be so hit and miss. Some days can feel so productive, and others - you don’t want to leave the bed 😂 X

Navigating a multi-day event alone is no easy feat, but four amazing communities made all the difference:

✨ @socentaus - connecting social enterprises in Australia. Also the givers of the free badges to enhance inclusion and accessibility among attendees. There’s a channel in the WhatsApp group called Share your Learnings - which has been super useful to read the jot form summaries of different sessions.

✨ FKS (which stands for Fomo Killer Society, a combination effort between @the.communitycollective, @frontcover.io) – a WhatsApp group connecting people at different conferences across Australia

✨ @brandkind_community – a community of marketing & branding professionals, working alongside social enterprises and providing pro-bono & lo-bono services.

✨ @theimpactcollab – social impact business community, connecting future-focused founders with resources, community and growth.

Thank you all for boosting up the sense of togetherness and turning what was already expected to be an overwhelming experience, into one of inspiration and growth as well. 💙

Did we really turn three WhatsApp audios into an entire mini-series for Women’s Month? Yes, we did!

In collaboration with our clients, @globalalliancet and @thetenurefacility, our team created a powerful video series featuring women leaders across three continents. Despite time zone differences, language adaptations, and limited raw materials, we embraced the challenge and brought their stories to life. 🎆

Check out how our team made it happen 👀 & see our final results in the link in bio!

Storytime...

When it was time to name our consultancy, it didn’t happen overnight…

We needed something that truly represented who we are:

✨ Women-led

✨ Creatives

✨ Globally distributed

✨ Grounded by our unchanging values

And this is how we came up with the perfect name for our collective! 💚

When we started this journey, we knew it wouldn’t be easy. 🚀

From Australia to the world, we’ve faced challenges head-on—communicating early, embracing failure, and learning the power of patience. Every step has taught us something new, and each lesson keeps us moving forward.

And the best part? We’re just getting started. 🌍✨ by @thisisthehorae
