Happy beloved birthday to the one and only Leonard Cohen! Discovering his music and literature during my adolescent years changed me eternally and I wouldn't want any other outcome. The love, gratitude and admiration I have for this individual has no bounds. I now look at life through a certain lens, a beautiful one at that, after becoming a fan all those years ago. His art is the gift that keeps on giving and I always find something new to appreciate as I grow older with his work. His poetry, lyricism, guitar playing, humor, fashion sense( he is the reason why turtlenecks became a staple in my wardobe), life values, the way he carries himself with such grace, his tender and comforting voice, he was what I aspire to be each day that I keep living. In a word, he was ineffable. He was that and so much more, though, he would humbly say he is just like everyone else. Although I never had the opportunity to meet him or even see him perform, I am still extremely grateful to know of his existence and his remarkable work. All that he left in this world, he made certain that it had some form of love in it. Thank you for everything, Leonard... ♡

Another series I really love: Sex Education.
More fitting dialogue for these times.
The first 3 seasons are very meaningful to me.
It has helped me learn and grow so much. There are so many memorable moments and quotes that still stick with me. Some are engraved on my heart forever. It is truly a gift of a show.

Remembering this scene...
Alyssa, this is why you are one of my favorite fictional characters. This bit of dialogue aged so well and is so fitting in the current state of the world. We definitely know plenty of real life "The Man" examples she's talking about. The hate for that part of the world is still a thing that exists and thank god there are still people out there who are fighting back.
