The end of 2025 was a little Wylde, to say the least…

I did it.
I drove the entire length of Aotearoa — from the bottom of the South Island to the very top of the North — and somehow it brought me back to myself.

2025 is the Year of the Snake — a season of shedding. Halfway through the year, I was asked to choose my word of the year, a word meant to encapsulate it. I chose: Becoming.
But the more I sat with it, the more I realized becoming wasn’t about adding anything new… it was about releasing everything I never truly was.
Shedding the expectations.
Shedding the versions of me I outgrew.
Shedding the layers I once thought I needed to survive.
So that what remained — what always remained — was the part of me that is most WYLDE, most free, most deeply alive.

This sunset at Cape Reinga felt like the culmination of that journey:
a year closing, a birthday beginning, the final day of filming Season 1 of WYLDE, and the last moments of my New Zealand chapter before I step into a new wave of adventures — LA → Canada → Mexico → and then… wherever the road calls next (the next chapter awaits).

I’ve never smiled so much, never felt so proud, never felt so wildly, wildly alive.
What a way to shed.
What a way to become.
What a way to begin again.

FIRE & WATER 🔥💧
Today I wandered through the geothermal magic of Rotorua and immersed myself in Wai Ariki — a cultural wellness sanctuary owned and curated by the local iwi (tribe), where heat becomes medicine, water becomes memory, and ancestral stories rise with the steam.
Mud on my skin, heart wide open.

Grateful to @wai_ariki_spa for welcoming me into, and guiding me through, the Wai Whakaora restorative journey. From the architecture and design to the healing experience itself, every element is rooted in Māori culture, ancestral knowledge, and generations of wisdom passed down with care.
A reminder that land, lineage, and well-being are threads of the same story.

Fire & Water episode coming in February.
