So many people ask how we got here. This is the short version. It leaves out the parts about my grandparents, our aunts, Alisa, our cousin, our friends, and the families we know that are going through the exact same things.

There are so many people we think of when we put together each project. I’m so grateful to my friends and family and all of you who help us find and fund new treatments every day. Thank you 🩵

Around here, everybody loves @raisingcanes That’s why I’m super excited to be collaborating with them for 100 Kind Deeds Day. Thanks to their generosity, 50 families will receive a hot meal as part of our care kits for families impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

If you have ideas for something we should include in our care kits, please let us know. Everyone has such a different experience and we want patients to feel a little extra love when they need it most.

There is so much to tell you about this week with @imadanceragainstcancer . But the most important thing to share is that this week alone they raised over $760,000 to help families impacted by cancer.

Yeah, it was fun to get dressed up. It was great to dance with JoJo. It was hilarious to watch my mom struggle to jog in heels so she could meet Paula Abdul. It was incredibly bougie to have an entire rooftop Hollywood pool all to ourselves at 10 PM. It was amazing to eat my fourth (and fifth) In-N-Out Burger.

But mostly, it felt so good to meet other families that know exactly how we feel.

That’s why we were there. Because cancer isn’t just a word, just an abstract tragedy that happens to random people. It’s a real thing that happens to real people every day - people we know and love - people like my parents, friends, and DAC family @jadesjourney26 @emmyskindnessproject @camila_the_brave @sami_ketelsen @onlynaevia @elena_bender_dancer @tiffany.marie89 @lollielaura55 @corina.a.jacobson @meganshae and Viola

Cancer makes life HARD / really hard, but we also live with it, laugh through it, dance in the midst of it. That’s what we saw this week - people celebrating life and giving so generously of themselves as they did.

We are so grateful for the generosity of everyone involved with dancers against cancer, in particular, @papawizard @itsjojosiwa @jessalynnsiwa @jocelyn.rene.basham and @kristynnurkka

Imagine being a theater kid and trying to keep up with @itsjojosiwa for six hour practices a day. When I was invited to be a DAC Icon, it seemed completely overwhelming, but JoJo is such a kind, inclusive and encouraging teacher, and she made sure we were all comfortable, competent and confident in our choreography and staging.

I’m so grateful to @imadanceragainstcancer for including my mom and I in your Hope stories. We’ve met so many great people, and, received a tremendous amount of support and made so many wonderful memories. Thank you @itsjojosiwa for being such a kind and generous human and making my mom smile. Thank you @jessalynnsiwa for all of your love and support to our families. Thank you @thetiabeestokes for your inspiring energy and being such a great hype girl. Thank you @imadanceragainstcancer for your support of my family. Some of you know that I come from a dance family. My mom has been a studio owner, competition judge and choreographer since she was 19, my sister was a teacher and danced in a company, my brother teaches theater and stage choreography, I take, jazz, contemporary and musical theater - even my dad learned to tap and swing dance.

This year, Dancers Against Cancer gave our family a tremendous gift by naming us one of their 2026 Hope Stories. And am so excited to announce I am joining the DAC ICONS for the 2026 Industry Dance Awards and Gala of the Stars benefiting Dancers Against Cancer. I’m really excited (and honestly a little nervous) to be dancing with @jojosiwa to help raise money for dancers helping families struggling with cancer. I’m so grateful to be part of this event, and can’t wait to share the adventure with you all.

My favorite artist since …. well since I decided to have a favorite artist. I first connected with Jason Naylor when I was six years old. He’s been an inspiration to our whole family ever since. His art just makes you feel happy, and I’m so grateful that he’s working with me on an extra special project for 100 Kind Deeds Day.
