I finally got a chance to get a copy of @ediblememphis ‘s Lunch Issue! I’m thankful that @chewsipfly asked me to do a brief interview about the ideal midday meal! As an ambassador of health through my profession as a pharmacist, I always want to spread the knowledge of the best medicine known to man… EXERCISE and NUTRITION! Oh and those are my lunches I made 😂

@buttabuttercookies I will be back for some more cookies! The 4th of July Butta Butter Cookie was FYE! Makeda’s got some competition with Whitehaven’s new black-owned cookie spot!
They also are having a Love, Laugh and Line Dance Festival June 29th at Southland Mall at 10AM, to bring some positivity to the area! They are taking school supply donations! Let’s help this new business thrive and the community of Whitehaven keep building!

MOMMA’S LIL’ SPECIAL…
Nothing little about this open face omelet. Topped with the crispiest, salted home fries, roasted red peppers, portobello mushrooms and spinach. Oh and the smoked salmon is the best. Jalapeños for an extra kick 🤌🏾

@brotherjunipers is the best breakfast in Memphis. I don’t care what anyone says 😤✊🏾

Donuts hold a special place in my heart. My favorite pastry. Unfortunately, Memphis doesn’t have the same quality as other cities. Just to be 💯!

BUT… @artesanaldetela crafts their donuts to pastry perfect. A real baker’s donut. Combining the French classic Crème Brulee with a buttery, bright and light brioche donut, this delicate piece of art surpasses all donuts in Memphis. Follow them to see when their next pop-up is! It’s worth the wait! Slide to the end for my review!

Sometimes the best food isn’t in a restaurant, but right in the comfort of your home. My girlfriend laid it down. Sourdough toast entree with an assortment of savory and sweet flavors. A layer of Brie cheese, beautiful colors from a sun-dried tomato pesto, fresh avocado, prosciutto, creamy honey vanilla butter and a two-yolk sunnyside egg to top.
God sent me my food soul mate. 🫶🏾

Had to flashback to another oldie but goodie. The appetizer dishes @sobsonly are good enough to be entrees! The arancini (make sure you slide) and the char sui spare ribs were two of my favorite. They are always changing up the menu at South Of Beale so if you like something make sure you get it before the next swap!

You gotta start Saturday off with a Bourbon Mocha and a flaky strawberry jam bar (when available 🥹) from @hustleanddough901! The Bourbon Mocha is Blue Note Bourbon barrel-aged espresso with steamed milk and house-made mocha 🥃
Then you can be alert to day drink all day 😈

#FlashbackFriday to a Saturday when I copped that @muddysbakeshop goodness!
That lemony fresh “Lemon Zinger” cupcake and the August special “Daydream Believer” with an almond cake base and apricot buttercream and drizzle! Definitely a top pick for sweet treats!

MOIST. Too many folks have not heard about this goat pop-up out of @comeback.coffee. The softest buttery biscuit with a flair of Honey Gold sauce and that nice thick sliver of egg and cheese mixed in between. You can only get this from @kinfolkmemphis. It’s necessary to start your day on the weekend of this!

Summer and fall food dump loading… Airport food normally sucks but @rootdownden has a spot in the Denver International Airport that’s on point. These Chile Crisp Duck Wings were insane! Vibrant colors and flavorful bites for the win 🥇
