The journey to success is hardly free of challenges and disappointments, but in the words of Former Secretary of Appointments for the State of Maryland, Tisha Edwards, “God doesn’t waste your time!”

We’re grateful for this enriching conversation. You’re not ready for the amount of wisdom to be gained in one episode.

What are your thoughts on Ms. Edwards’ decision with the students in her school?

“Everyone needs a good firing” had me cackling. But on a more serious note, I cannot wait for this episode with THE Tisha Edwards, former Secretary of Appointments for the State of Maryland, and my personal boss/mentor/sponsor of many years.

What a fulfilling year—truly, deeply fulfilling.

Last Sunday, as I shared about thanksgiving in church and we prayed, I found myself completely undone. I couldn’t stop thinking about every sacrifice, every trip, every inconvenience—each one laid before the Lord. And all I could say was, Lord, You are worth it.

I reminded myself of a decision I made long ago—that I would never be someone who serves God only when it’s comfortable or convenient. Whatever it takes. Wherever You ask us to go—we will go.

Dear Lord, 2026 belongs to You once again.
I’m ready. by @thisruky

Colossians 1:16-17 Mirror Bible

16 Everything that is, begins in him; whether in the heavenly realm or upon the earth, visible or invisible, he is the original blueprint of every order of justice and every level of authority, be it kingdoms or governments, principalities or jurisdictions; the original form of all things were founded by him and created for him. (Any order that does not mirror Christ is a distortion of man’s own making.)

17 He is the initiator of all things, therefore everything finds its relevance and its true pattern only in him.

So grateful to be known by him, to be called by his name and to live for him. Happy Almost Birthday to me! by @thisruky

4. Done because sometimes I have to constantly remind myself that I really did do it. I did the hardest thing I’ve ever done and I finished!
