Woke up this morning and listening to my buddy @thiswasthescene podcast. Mike takes you back into the punk scene of the late ’80s and early ’90s, with some really cool interviews and stories from people who were actually there. I just started digging into it, and right out of the gate, Mike gives a little shout-out to Verse Versus. How cool is that!

It’s stuff like this that I really appreciate. Friends supporting friends, people sharing what they’re creating, and all these connections that happen because of experiences we’ve had along the way. For me, so much of has always come back to the music and design culture.

I’ve always loved getting to know people through music. What’s the first concert you went to? What album takes you right back to a particular time in your life? What song can completely change your mood? Doesn’t matter if it’s punk, rock, jazz, country, hip-hop, or even a movie score. Music is everywhere, and everybody has some kind of connection to it. That’s one of the things I love most about it.

Anyway, Mike, thanks so much for the love, man. Really appreciate it. Everybody should go check out This Was the Scene and give it a listen. Some great conversations and a really cool look into a scene that meant a lot to a lot of people.

Go give Doyle a listen. Good stuff.
