After what feels like an eternity, @halb7records are finally following up with another “Grüße von der Ostfront” compilation.

This Saturday, there will be a record release show at @naumannstanzlokal , and I’ll be spinning records at the aftershow. Before that, some of the bands featured on the compilation will be playing live.

I’ve already had the chance to listen to the sampler, and it honestly surprised me in the best possible way. I was even lucky enough to contribute a few words about the previous releases to the booklet.

Really good stuff and a clear recommendation from me — both the compilation and the show this weekend! by @thms_ecke

What a wonderful weekend. A “wine hike” with some really lovely people — normally, you visit several wineries and work your way through quite a few bottles… well, we only made it to two stops because everything was just too delicious. In the evening, we headed to Contra Bash with a solid buzz going, and on Sunday I joined my Track & Field Die Hards, Suse and Alex, for the @goldenesoval spectacle with Gina, Rebekka, and Malaika! Top-notch weekend! by @thms_ecke

A week in Malta. Kind of like England, just with sunshine and beautiful beaches. Survived driving on the left without any scratches—though you could easily get around by bus as well. Lots of culture, some “Silent City” that apparently has something to do with Game of Thrones (ask @steffi_edge,I have no clue), Popeye’s village, and for the first time in 20 years I even got something like a sunburn. 35 years ago, I trained together with this handsome young man in the athletics club of our hometown. Today we met again at our old track — the place where we used to dream about the Olympics, Carl Lewis and Ben Johnson. We reminisced about old times and paid tribute to our legendary coach (RIP).
