Shared from my cousin Allicia West ❤️

A beautiful friend wrote this post this morning and I couldn’t help but share….the Bible speaks of how we won’t be able to tell the difference between what is real and what is fake, we’ve entered into those times!! Be very careful of the words that are spoken because they may very well be affecting those you love down the line!!

Some of us are angry at ICE.
Some of us are angry at undocumented immigrants.
Some of us are angry at Republicans.
Some of us are angry at Democrats.
Some of us support protesting.
Some of us are weary of it.

However we line up, the truth is this: the systems and powers of this world understand division very well. They exploit it. They stir it. They benefit from it.

Scripture tells us the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy—and if I’m honest, so much of what fills my social media feeds feels like evidence of that work. It’s heavy. It’s unsettling. It breeds fear, anger, and a sense that we’re no longer safe with one another.

This kind of unrest is exactly what the enemy desires. Division is one of his most effective tools.

I don’t claim to have the answers, and I’m not standing above anyone in this. I’m in it too. My prayer is simple and sincere:
Lord Jesus, help us.
Do what only You can do. Soften hard hearts—on every side and in every space in between.

This isn’t an invitation to argue or convince. It’s an invitation to pause. To ask how we, as followers of Jesus, can influence the world without becoming shaped by its outrage. How we might resist reacting against one another and instead respond with the way of Christ.

Whoever you’re frustrated with right now—Jesus loves them. He loved them enough to lay down His life for them, just as He did for you and for me.

My hope is that before we speak, post, or react, we would quietly ask the Lord what it looks like to love well in this moment—and listen." by @tholderman1234
