FULL CIRCLE MOMENT:
In 2023 when Anjunadeep 14 came out, a certain track by someone I had never heard of at that point stood out especially to me. “Eyes Ablaze” by @blake.08_ was that track.

This was about the time I began the start of my music production journey.

I must’ve played it 200 times and was absolutely gutted one day when I saw it got pulled for a short while (due to copyright I assume).

Fast forward to April this year, Blake threw a post up with a tight deadline and the stems for this now Anjunadeep anthem “Eyes Ablaze”

Quickly I DM’d Blake, got the stems and went to work.

Over a weekend I played with several versions. Ultimately, I wrapped up a thumpy syncopated bass line version with a driving acid line, some original sound design coupled with the classic M1 sounds I love.

I sent it to Blake where he posted it with the other amazing remixes on his page.

I was asleep here in the US and woke up to dozens of messages of friends and people I’ve never met voting my remix. I was seriously blown away by the support.

Blake found out I was headed to the beloved @anjunadeepexplorations and wanted to link up for a cold beverage in the Albanian sun.

When we got together night 1, he said he was going to give the remix a spin and wanted me to come up.

Here’s a clip of that moment.

It brings me too absolute tears seeing this clip with that dance floor PACKED out and the unbelievable response from the crowd.

Huge thanks Blake for the opportunity to remix this anthem and having me up for a spin of it in front of the best crowd on earth.

MMW sheeeesh. It was a fast and furious 2 nights and needless to say, I ate well and enjoyed the finest coffee in the US.

Incredible getting to spend the weekend with some of the best people I know on the planet, be apart of @because_of_art US debut, listen to some of the best music, and get to hear a bit of my own music played out.

Met so many new people and connected with a ton of people for the first time in person. Cannot wait for next year already.

2 years of @denverprogressivehouse, wow.

I remember getting a DM from @paradimedj in December of 2023 talking about the possibility of starting a collective and at that point I had never played an actual show. So @goldstar.mp3 and I met up and played some records on his decks at his house before a little “test” party if you will which was my first real show. It was probably the most nervous I have ever been playing to about 10 of my close friends. After that little gig it was all a go and we officially launched 2 years ago to date. Since then I have gotten to watch a community grow first hand from packing out dance floors for all local line ups to flying in headliners I would’ve never dreamed I would’ve gotten the chance to help organize/play with.

It literally does bring me to tears to see how many amazing people I have met through DPH that have changed my life. The community you all have built has lead to the best moments of my life. They say as you get older your circle becomes smaller and I think that’s absolute bullshit. This huge circle of you all that I consider family now is the most vibrant that I have ever had. The closest people in my life I have met because of this wonderful community.

Aside from all of the cool things DPH has done for my project, I have gotten way more pleasure watching artists go from playing with DPH to releasing on their dream labels, so many playing first gigs, some going on to support huge artists on some of the biggest stages in Denver, small businesses growing, photographers and videographers going from doing their first gig with us to getting gigs with huge festivals, and it’s all because of this community.

I am forever in debt to the support you all have shown DPH and my project. I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I am today as a producer and DJ if it wasn’t for you all.

There are so many moments and people not captured in this post but here are a few that also remind me that we are in the good ol days.

Thank you all, we will stop at nothing.
