Polestar 4 SUV. I’m genuinely impressed by this car.
The 4 Coupé was already something special, but the 4 SUV addresses every concern I had about its practicality. There’s room for the stroller, ISOFIX for the little one and even a dog crate in the boot. Rear-seat passengers travel business class, yet the driver is still rewarded with the engaging, fun driving experience a true Polestar should offer.

A little photo dump from my trip to the Volvo Cars London Studio for an exclusive first look at the new XC60 and updated 40 Series.

Late night flight, rushing through London, checking design sketches, preparing notes, filming as much as possible and constantly watching the clock… busy, busy, busy. But honestly? This is exactly the kind of (car) chaos I love.

Getting this close to the cars, exploring the smallest details and turning it all into content for you never really feels like work.

The new Volvo XC60 is here and this is much more than ‘just’ a facelift. ⚡️ The T6 Long Range plug-in hybrid now offers up to 200 km of electric WLTP range: two and a half times more than before, without sacrificing boot space.
Add the sharper design, new Matrix LED headlights, updated 11.2-inch display, Google Gemini and improved safety technology, and Volvo’s bestseller suddenly feels properly refreshed again. #XC60 by @thom.lov

The Volvo 40 Series will always be special to me.
I’ve driven countless kilometres in both my XC40 and EC40, and always loved their playful character and clever, practical details. But underneath all that sits a proper Swedish safety powerhouse.
I’ll admit it: on more than one late-night drive, or during a brief lapse of attention, the car helped save me from a potential accident.
We grew as a family with the 40 Series. First as a couple, and later with a little one in the back. These days, we’ve moved on to the V60 wagon, but the 40 Series still feels like part of our story.
And now it has been properly refreshed: a sharper new face with Matrix LED Thor’s Hammer headlights, a larger 11.2-inch display with Volvo’s latest interface and Google Gemini, plus smarter safety features such as Door Opening Alert and Pilot Assist with Lane Change Assist. The optional 360-camera now even offers a 3D view.
It’s more modern and smarter, without losing the playful character that made it special in the first place.
So thank you, @volvocars, for keeping this little Swede around a while longer — now better than ever.

This is the new Volvo XC60! And, the headline isn’t the new design. It’s the electric range. 🔋
The new XC60 T6 AWD Long Range Plug-in Hybrid can travel up to 200 km WLTP on electricity alone. That’s two and a half times the 79 km range of the previous generation!
Volvo achieved this with a larger battery integrated into the floor and a more powerful electric motor — without sacrificing any boot space. For many owners, that could mean completing nearly all everyday journeys fully electric, while still having the petrol engine available for longer trips.
But there’s much more:
• New front and rear design • Redesigned Thor’s Hammer headlights • Matrix LED technology with 15 segments • New 11.2-inch centre display • Volvo’s latest user interface • Google Gemini AI integration • Upgraded cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors • Lane Change Assist with Pilot Assist • 360-degree camera with 3D view • New Heather Bronze paint and wheel designs

The New EX40! Same name. Completely different attitude. 👀🇸🇪
The new Volvo 40 Series has been given one serious glow-up. A bolder front, redesigned bonnet and bumpers, sharper 15-segment Matrix LED headlights and fresh wheels completely change its road presence.
But Volvo didn’t stop with the design. There’s also a larger 11.2-inch display, the latest Volvo interface, Google Gemini and upgraded cameras, radar and safety technology underneath.
After seeing the cars up close in London, I think this update works. Familiar enough to still feel like a Volvo, but fresh enough to make you look twice.
Could this now be the sweet spot in Volvo’s electric line-up? ⚡️ by @thom.lov

The new Volvo 40 Series is HERE! 🇸🇪⚡️
I flew to London for an exclusive first look and this is much more than a small facelift. The XC40, EX40 and EC40 receive a sharper Scandinavian design, new 15-segment Matrix LED headlights and a completely upgraded tech and safety package.
Inside, there’s a new 11.2-inch display with Volvo’s latest interface, Google Gemini AI and regular over-the-air updates. The electric versions offer up to 575 km in the EX40 and 584 km in the EC40.
Familiar Volvos, but now smarter, safer and seriously fresh again. This could be exactly the update the 40 Series needed… 👀

Want to get to know a car properly? Give it a good hand wash. 🧽

That’s when you start noticing the little details you’d normally walk straight past. Like the EX60’s Wing Grip door handles: a distinctive design feature that also improves aerodynamics and adds roughly 5 km of range.

A small detail, but clever nonetheless. #EX60 by @thom.lov
