I can’t believe we finally did The Wind live cinema on Monday and Tuesday already 🥹 It’s been quite a journey getting here. Trying to find the time to work on this alongside a full-time job, work travels, getting caught up in a massive earthquake lol, and then having my pedal decide to break down right before the show… amazing~ I’m just really grateful that both nights went well and that we got to share this work with such a lovely audience! Big, big mihi to the best collaborator, @thomas_arbor. Couldn’t have done this without you, e hoa! I’ll definitely miss our weekly Wind 🌪️ workshops featuring Pups 🐱 and my Bus No. 1 trips. You’re the best! A huge thank you as well to the Wellington Film Society @wgtnfilmsoc, especially @jfacrawford for the invitation (and believing in me?!), and Harry and the whole team for all your incredible support. Special shoutout to Barry for the beautiful sound, and to Nigel from @oceania_audio_sales, who very generously lent me a MixingLink while mine is out of action. Terima kasih banyak to everyone who came to the screenings and to everyone who took the time to chat with us afterwards. Thank you for all the kind words and support. ♥️ And last but definitely not least, thank you @benlaksana for doing all the cooking, the caretaking, and basically everything over the past few weeks. Couldn’t have done it without you 😭 Big love to you all x Salam hangat, hara #panggunghara by @thomas_arbor

Official Poster for Live Cinema 2026 - The Wind 🎞️🌬️ Continuing our annual tradition of Live Cinema, the Wellington Film Society is excited to invite you along to our 2026 screening of Victor Sjöström’s The Wind, with live musical accompaniment from @musikhara and @thomas_arbor Lillian Gish plays Letty, a young woman who travels to an isolated Texas ranch where she finds the locals inhospitable and the wind unbearable.
