Lilac & Lotus performing Linkin Park’s “Somewhere I Belong” featuring Thomas Grim of Haunter. 🦇🌸🦇

Surreal. Dream come true. Chester Bennington was and still is a hero of mine and one of the biggest influences on my music career so doing this feature felt like I was not only embodying someone I’ve looked up to for so long but it felt like I was also paying my respects to him. In a way it filled a void/crack in my heart that has been there since his passing. I am eternally in the debt of L&L for allowing me this opportunity and wish them all of the happiness and success. Thank you. 🖤

🎃OCTOBER COMIC MARATHON OF 2026 DAY 11🎃

FRIDAY THE 13TH: JASON VS. JASON X #1

Sometimes I am so happy to live in a time where I get to witness something like this.🤣 Why does this crossover work so damn well?! Seriously! This works so well that the writers, artists, and anyone that has anything to do with this deserves the biggest raise ever! 5 futuristic machetes out of 5!
This is a perfect continuation of the movie Jason X and its comic sequel Jason X Special which we get a recap of both in the beginning of this issue. Great way to kick off what becomes Freddy Vs. Jason fused with Alien Resurrection! The story flows so naturally into pure gore and chaos. Having two Jason’s shouldn’t make any sense but once you read this you’ll see how they made it make perfect sense. Now I’m just mad that Jason X Special and Friday The 13th: Jason Vs. Jason X aren’t movies! 😆

🎃OCTOBER COMIC MARATHON OF 2026 DAY 10🎃

JASON X SPECIAL

I never knew we got some sort of sequel to Jason X until I came across this comic book. Yep! You saw that right! This one-shot serves as a sequel to the tenth Friday The 13th film from 2001 Jason X! The comic picks up immediately where the film left off with chaos ensuing from start to finish. No joke! Jason Voorhees is more furious than ever before and his rampage doesn’t let up in these pages. 4.5 nanotechnology bugs out of 5! The little bit of story we do get in here is way too rushed but fans of the franchise that just want to see a slasher villain on steroids do their thing are going to get more than they ever expected. Believe it or not there was a two issue sequel series to this and it only gets fuckin crazier!

🎃OCTOBER COMIC MARATHON OF 2026 DAY 9🎃

FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH: THE NIGHTMARE WARRIORS #6

Timeline wise this is where A Nightmare On Elm Street and the story of Freddy Krueger ends. Friday The 13th and the story of Jason Voorhees continued as Uber Jason in Jason X, and Ash Williams of The Evil Dead went on to embrace his destiny in various comics and the television show Ash Vs. Evil Dead. 5 Hypnocil pills out of 5! This is a perfect ending to this years long crossover event. 23 years after I saw Freddy Vs. Jason in theaters with my Dad I finally got to read and witness the end of this battle and I couldn’t be more happy and fulfilled. Of course it would have been cool to see Pinhead from the Hellraiser franchise enter the fray as originally intended by the creators but I’m satisfied with what we got nonetheless. There is something that I can’t stop thinking about though… Bruce Campbell supposedly didn’t want to do the sequel because he would have had little to no creative freedom with his character Ash which I totally understand. Judging from interviews when he is asked about this he makes it seem like the creators maybe weren’t going to let Ash kick Freddy and Jason’s asses but Ash definitely did in fact they all beat the shit out of each other a pretty fair amount. If this is true I really wish they could have communicated this better AND shown him the script. I’m talking out of my ass and assuming making an ass out of myself but I feel like had they done this he wouldn’t have been as hesitant to step in the ring. Oh well who knows! Either way this was a fitting end to one of the best crossovers in history. It was a fitting end even for characters like Nancy and Tommy too.
What did you think of this series? Who were you voting for to win?! 😈

🎃OCTOBER COMIC MARATHON OF 2026 DAY 8🎃

FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH: THE NIGHTMARE WARRIORS #5

This sequel comic series to Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash is such a mixed bag to me. On one hand I love seeing Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare On Elm Street try to take over the world, I love seeing Jason Voorhees from Friday The 13th decimate everyone in his path on a grand scale, and I love seeing the U.S. army take on an army of Deadites from the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis: The Book Of The Dead originally forged in H.P. Lovecraft works. And then there is Ash Williams from The Evil Dead kicking ass and taking names during an apocalyptic event all while survivors from all the above franchises are teaming up to follow suit. The strange plots following Freddy’s daughter who wants to randomly be like him and Jason’s relative Stephanie becoming him or wanting to be like him (I can barely understand what is happening) just aren’t doing it for me. Seeing Jacob become the new Dream Master and joining together with every soul Krueger has devoured is a legendary moment though and some of the artwork going on in here is to die for! 4 Dream Warriors out of 5! Let’s finally see how this epic crossover concludes! 🩸🩸🩸🩸

🎃OCTOBER COMIC MARATHON OF 2026 DAY 7🎃

FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH: THE NIGHTMARE WARRIORS #4

I love how much the deadites are present here compared to the first series. There’s also a robot possessed by Freddy that looks like a decepticon from Transformers which was a little too far from an Elm Street, Friday The 13th, and Evil Dead vibe to me but still entertaining. Also some of the main characters with powers is giving off more of an X-Men vibe than how they were presented in their respected slasher movies. Either way Krueger is president and this is so fuckin extreme hahaha! 4 psychic abilities out of 5! How the hell is this wild story going to conclude in the next two issues?!

🎃OCTOBER COMIC MARATHON OF 2026 DAY 6🎃

FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH: THE NIGHTMARE WARRIORS #3

Freddy Krueger tricked all of us! He is one with the Necronomicon! King of the Book of the Dead with Jason Voorhees as his right hand man leading an army of deadites in an effort to conquer the waking and dream worlds! 4.5 red and black striped sweaters out of 5! Seeing Jason rejuvenated and with long hair is kind of weird though. 🤣

PS- there was a reference to Haddonfield! I wonder if it was ever planned to have Michael Myers of the Halloween franchise join the fray. 🤔🎃

@hauntercult are joining us on our 'A Haunted house for All to See' Album release run on 10/15 at The Jamb in Oshkosh.

They're one of the most fun bands in our space that you could possibly see live, and they put on a phenomenal show. They have a rich darkwave/ pop metal inspired sound with fantastic hooks, riffs and choruses all centered around ghastly and spooky subject matter- and if you come to The Jamb for our album release show, you have the absolute treat to see them around the spookiest time of the year!

The first track from our record dropping in TWO DAYS will also feature @thomas_grim of Haunter and we had an amazing time working with them. These guys are really special and work very hard at what they do.

@anthonydiabolos, @thomas_grim and @miguelangel_corpsova are also some of the kindest people around have been nothing but supportive towards us since the start. So thank you @hauntercult for not only giving us advice, jumping on a song with us, and being so kind as to support us for our album release party, but for being such amazing and supportive friends along the way. We love @hauntercult ❤️ by @thomas_grim
