After losing what would’ve surely been my new PB and winning my first bass tournament, I was able to gather myself and land this 7.42 lb giant in the final stretch to take second place! I thought it was still going to be enough for the win, but ended up getting edged out by less than 2 ounces.

I decided to power fish the whole time and it paid off for sure. Both of my biggest bites came dragging a 12” Berkley Power Worm underneath giant balls of crappie.

This morning was one I won’t soon forget!! It started by making a bearded hen gobble half a dozen times…and ended with me finding the bird I had gobbling his head off yesterday, but wouldn’t commit.

After the hen worked her way out of the field, I decided to make a move to higher ground and scout the area I was in yesterday morning. The same bird I couldn’t get to cross the field to me, was in the middle of it feeding his way towards me. Every time he put his head down, I would gain 5-10 yards on him, until I found myself within range to take the shot. It’s time for nuggets!!

My man @thomascookdesigns took some of my advice about patterning lakes.

Lakes that produce high relative weight fish consistently will kick out a PB.

You just have to be patient by @thomascookdesigns
