"Only to Other People" I've been told that dreams come true And happiness will come to boys like you But I've only seen it happen in the movies Only in fairytales Only in the books I've ever read And only to other people So many times I've heard them say Abide your time and love will come your way But I've only seen it happen in the movies Only in fairytales Only in the books I've ever read And only to other people #lofipop #60spop #girlgroup #cindylee by @thoracius

a little something I’m working on.. A few weeks ago I started developing software to create animations and motion graphics on my XY oscilloscope, and somehow it’s spiraled to this. These kinds of analog scopes don’t have pixels, lines, refresh rates like standard video. It’s a beam and you control where it goes, totally fluid. And then there are all these wild artifacts due to the digital-to-analog conversion of the control signal. Such a vibe. If anybody wants to come try it out or has some ideas, come by my studio. Let’s make some experimental animations/filmmaking. by @thoracius

For a couple years I’ve been taking baby steps into the audio software (plugins) game, but now I’m taking the leap. I’ve finished a beta version of my first plugin – a mastering-grade tilt filter with a true fractional order slope over the audible range. Basically, it lets you make the sound brighter or darker without emphasizing or deemphasizing any frequency range, no flattening or steepening or ripple, no little resonances or holes. Extremely smooth phase response. This was my idea of a simple first project to get something done and I went way overboard – I don’t know if there’s anything else out there that does this (and definitely not to this standard). Anybody want to help me test it? (So far I have just complied for Windows VST3. I’ll also have a Mac version in the future, it’s just more of a hassle to get going.) White noise shows pretty well exactly what the plugin is doing. If you, for example, set it to -3dB/oct it gives you perfect pink noise. And then it’s also fun to see the difference between minimum and linear phase on a waveform.. you can see that the asymmetry of minimum phase eats a lot more headroom. by @thoracius
