A place that, to me, does not look like the Alps at all. Upon researching my trek, I saw some satellite images that showed a very saturated blue colour. Not many images exist of this place, but we decided to give it a go, and it ended up in one of the most unique places I've visited in the Alps. To me it looks more like somewhere in Gates of the Arctic NP, AK, but I might be exaggerating a bit. After a beautiful sunrise (last 3 images), we got trapped in some very moody weather, which lasted the whole day. #mountains #travel #landscapephotography #frenchalps #waterfalls by @thorxplore

After we sadly had to wave goodbye to @felixbalphoto , @shot_byfelix and I continued the trek, entering NP des Écrins. We immediately got greeted with this amazing lake, which, all in all, delivered more photographic opportunities than I expected in advance. Sunset was non-existant, sunrise was forecasted to be heavy rain, but I still set the alarm clock early, and somehow got treated with one of the most perfect sunrises I've ever seen. Little series of a valley in the French Alps. Last 4 images are sunset. First one is a late-sunrise, as I slept through all my alarms and @shot_byfelix @felixbalphoto didn't bother to wake me up, the bastards. In general, I found myself struggling a lot with compositions in this valley, I didn't know why. I'm pretty happy with these ones, although I found myself standing in the wrong spots at the wrong time. I'd like to return in early summer for flowers.
