Reincarnation is real but I don’t believe it’s always as simple as one soul living one life, dying, and then beginning another.

I believe the soul is multidimensional. What we experience as “past,” “present,” and “future” may not exist in the same linear way from the soul’s perspective. Multiple incarnations may be happening simultaneously, each experiencing a different life, body, time, and set of lessons.

Think of the soul as a greater consciousness that can express itself through many different points of awareness at once. Each person is still an individual, but each incarnation may carry a portion, or expression, of that larger soul consciousness.

That could also explain what some spiritual traditions describe as soul counterparts: people who feel strangely familiar the moment you meet them. They may not necessarily be your “other half,” but another expression connected to the same greater consciousness—or part of a soul group that has crossed paths with you through different lifetimes.

So perhaps reincarnation isn’t simply about coming back.

Perhaps we never completely leave.

Maybe what we call our “life” is only one window through which a much larger soul is experiencing itself.

Helen Zia reminds us that having a voice means having a responsibility to use it.

A Chinese American author, journalist, and longtime civil-rights activist, Zia became a prominent voice in the Asian American movement after the 1982 killing of Vincent Chin, helping organize the campaign for justice that followed. Her work has continued across racial justice, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, immigration, and human rights.

What I love about this quote is its simplicity: if we have the ability to make even a small positive difference, why wouldn’t we?

The past is only a reference, a figure of time. It no longer exists in the physical realm, only in memory.

Healing is rarely just one chapter.
We first mend what made us sick—the wound, the weight, the unraveling.
